This, THIS, is why I came to Chicago Public Media. Local news – especially publicly accessible local news – is our most urgent and pressing industry need to solve for. We've quietly been doing a lot of work this past year at CPM, and I can't wait to talk about it more soon.
So in awe of @SwatiGauri and so proud of this team. This has been a damn fun decade. And I can’t wait for what is next! 💛

Proud to have @voxmedia sign this letter. And grateful for @sisiwei’s leadership in asking our industry to do better.
What if, to win @PulitzerPrizes, news organizations were required to publicly report data about their staff demographics?
I know so many journalists who have privately asked themselves or one another this question. Today, we asked the Pulitzers.
