The face you make when a Canadian dares not bend the knee or suckle at the U.S. teat.
Jamil, we all know what you are.

FACT CHECK:
Claim: “We now have under construction 97 new car plants. For 48 years we had none”.
Actual: 1 plant - by EV startup Slate.
In 1978 the US had 55 plants & made 12.8M cars. In 2025 it also had 55 plants & made 10.3M cars.
153 plants would make ~30M cars.
For who?

I just updated the recent column in the Provincial Times to include a more relevant image of what happened, as the main image was a placeholder.
The look on my MP's face says more than anything I wrote ever could.

Adjust for population & the “freeloading” rhetoric fails hard & fast:
- 🇨🇦s buy about US$8,000 per capita in US goods.
- 🇺🇸s buy about US$1,100 per capita in CDN goods.
That’s 7x MORE per capita.
Imagine a business insulting that type of committee customer.
Not smart.

I think some of you are missing something rather fundamental about the current situation in North America.
The USA isn’t the way it is because Donald Trump is president. Donald Trump is president because the USA is the way it is.
This can’t be fixed with one election…

If Chow wins, can we host a Bye Bye Brad Bradford party in the Beaches or maybe at his abandoned office? We can serve food from every culture he used for a photo op.

Predictable reaction, BUT the assertion that Canadians were unaware of preparations for a potential U.S. conflict until Carney's New York Times interview is historically inaccurate.
The Globe and Mail reported on this exact theoretical planning in January 2026. That report documented how defense planners examined an extreme scenario where conventional positions would fall within days, necessitating asymmetric resistance, drone tactics, and insurgency methods to defend national sovereignty.
It seems that Ottawa handled the reality responsibly: preparing theoretical worst-case contingencies through defense staff and communicating them via public media reports months ago, avoiding panic while keeping the public informed.

Toronto people will look at this with surprise, but my experience moving back here from SF was similar. Lots of things just work well!
Downtown LA office buildings are over 40% vacant. Class A office buildings in the downtown Toronto financial district are 90% full. Don’t blame COVID or back-to-work rules for Downtown LA’s decline. Blame our elected officials. They drive through Downtown LA every day to get to City Hall and see the crime, blight, and encampments. A tough environment to work in. Are they blind or incompetent?

Remember when Trump pretended for like 3 weeks that the point of invading Venezuela was to free the Venezuelan people and restore democracy and a bunch of MAGA ahderents went around repeating that? Same thing for Iran.
Then Trump made clear these wars had nothing to do with freeing anyone so now they say: yeah, that's not our role!

BREAKING: In an amazing moment, Admiral William McRaven, who led the raid to take out Bin Laden, just slammed Trump and gave an inspiring vision for the nation's future. Every American needs to watch this.

Fmr U.S. Ambassador to Canada: "Most people realize the president, you can't attribute rationality to him. He's not well physically, mentally, emotionally. And he's surrounded by third-rate staff members and cabinet members who really can't tell him the truth without having him lash out."
We all need to wake up to the existence of a new right wing alliance, clearly called for in the US National Security Strategy issued in December 2025, which will include the German AFD, the Rassemblement National in France, Nigel Farage’s party and those even further to the right in the UK. Their political advance will be led, supported, fuelled and financed by Trump, the TechBros, Putin, and whatever other sources can be found around the world. They are actively interfering in the Alberta referendum, and will fund whatever racist and separatist groups they can find around the world. Failure to understand this, and to fight it, will put our own democratic lives at risk.

Musk created fake counties in swing states and added the exact number of votes that are typically received either early and/or by mail and gave them ALL to Trump to keep them out of prison. He didn’t win a single swing state. He’s not legitimate. We are under a hostile occupation
