Since riots are now spreading across Europe, there are some simple things any country that wants to avoid them can announce. Anyone found guilty of rioting/looting: - who is a foreign national will be immediately deported - who is a dual national will be immediately stripped of their citizenship, then deported - who is an asylum seeker or has been granted asylum, will be denied asylum/deported - permanently banned from receiving any benefits/welfare of any kind - given harsh custodial sentences Announce this now and avoid riots or watch your country go down the route of France and Germany.

Name one? How about a few? Rockefeller lowered the cost of kerosene through efficient refining and distribution. Ford made automobiles affordable through mass production. Carnegie reduced steel production costs through industrial innovation. Walton lowered retail prices through bulk purchasing and efficient logistics. Dell made computers cheaper by eliminating retail intermediaries. Kamprad made furniture affordable through flat-pack manufacturing and distribution. Bezos intensified retail competition through Amazon. Koum made international messaging practically free through WhatsApp. Page and Brin made search, navigation, email, and translation available without direct charges. And that's barely scratching the surface. In fact, it would be considerably more challenging to find a billionaire who earned their fortune through voluntary trade without lowering costs, improving quality, increasing productivity, or making something more accessible. That's how fortunes are generally made in competitive markets. You create value for others, and the more people you serve, the greater your potential reward. You don't even have to buy from these businesses to benefit. Their competitors must improve their offerings or risk losing customers. These clout chasers destroy their credibility daily without so much as flinching. They enjoy the accumulated benefits of capitalist innovation while confidently demanding evidence that any of it ever happened. The economic illiteracy would be impressive if it weren't so commonplace.
Name one time a billionaire has lowered your bills

You asked 👇 HOW DID TUSK GET BACK IN? Poland has a President as well as a Prime Minister. The President is head of state, the Prime Minister runs the government day to day. Tusk was President of the European Council in Brussels - one of the top jobs in the EU. Big salary, big prestige. He came back to Poland in 2021 to take over his old party, Civic Platform. In October 2023 there was the general election. PiS - Law and Justice - actually got the most votes as a single party, but not a majority. Tusk put together a coalition of three - his Civic Coalition, plus Third Way, plus the Left. Between them they had just enough seats to take power. So President Duda had to give Tusk the chance to form a government, and he became Prime Minister again in December 2023. How did he win? He didn't win the conservative, working class, rural Poland. He won the big cities - Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw - and he aimed his campaign at white liberal middle class women and young graduates who want to be seen as European, not Polish. Poland has secure borders. They have no mass no experience of the difficulties that are ahead . No immigration from Somalia, Afghanistan, places like that. Most people there have never lived with what we have lived with in England. So it's easy to vote liberal when you don't have to live with the consequences. Why would he leave a cushy EU job in Brussels to go back? Because Brussels needed him back in Warsaw. PiS were blocking EU federalism. They wanted to keep the Zloty, keep their gold, keep their borders, keep their own courts. They were a problem for Germany and Brussels. Tusk is their man in Warsaw. Put him back in to take over the courts, take over the Tribunal, open the borders, and get Poland into the Euro. That's why he came back. Not for Poland - for Brussels. @D_Tarczynski have I got this about right ?

Slavery was an evil in which people from every continent and region participated. We should be honest about the whole history, not select the parts that are politically convenient today, especially given Britain's leading role in ending the transatlantic slave trade. If Caribbean countries are asking Britain for a formal apology for Britain’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, will they also be asking the same of the descendants of African kingdoms, rulers and merchants who captured, sold and profited from the trade? On demands for reparations, whether through cash or debt relief, we have been down this track before. Twenty-five years ago, Jubilee 2000, Drop the Debt and Make Poverty History argued that cancelling the debts of poorer countries would give them a fresh start. More than $100 billion of debt was eventually written off, but many of those countries have since built up even bigger debts. Labour are already spending too much on Britain's welfare state, now is not the time for Andy Burnham to be providing global welfare. There is no reason British taxpayers today should be held financially responsible for things that happened generations before any of us were born. And I have even less patience for political elites in commonwealth countries who don’t know how to make their own citizens prosperous now looking for another opportunity to blame Britain. As Prime Minister, Andy Burnham should be Britain’s greatest defender. Instead, he is writing articles saying we need to confront our history (as if we haven't done enough of that) and considering another formal historical apology. Tony Blair already expressed Britain’s deep sorrow and regret for our role in the slave trade nearly twenty years ago. There is no need to do so again. This is all another navel-gazing distraction. The Commonwealth should be looking forward, not endlessly backwards. That means economic partnerships to make us all richer and deeper military and security cooperation against common threats. If every Commonwealth summit becomes an exercise in presenting Britain with demands for cash then we need to start asking if it is worth the effort.

Donald Trump, if you want to be remembered for eternity as a hero of Western civilization, there's one thing left to do: bring down the European Union. Not Europe. The European Union. Europe is Athens, Rome, the cathedrals, the Renaissance, the Enlightenment, the Industrial Revolution. The EU is a rule-making machine that suffocates its own nations, regulates what it can no longer build, and confuses governing with forbidding. Giving Europeans back their sovereignty wouldn't be an attack on the West. It would save it.

Do you notice there are no riots or massive protests before this election to energize the Left’s radical lunatic base? The last 6 election years USAID averaged $26 billion. This year… $1 billion. We were paying for the Left’s get out the vote riots.

“I’m a socialist because I believe in the redistribution of wealth.” Do you redistribute your own wealth? “No” Then you’re not a socialist. You’re a hypocrite and a virtue signaller. “I believe the government should do the redistribution, not me.” Then you’re an authoritarian and a collaborator. So you are a socialist after all!

You can cancel an election and ban the winner from running (Romania), you can ban your opponents from ever running again (Hungary), you can threaten to ban the main opposition party and subject it to relentless investigations by the secret police (Germany), you can threaten a ban on the leading presidential candidate and make them wear an ankle monitor (France), every member of your circle can be investigated for corruption (Spain), you can try and cancel local elections because you will lose them (Britain), and you can storm the constitutional court with riot police because you want to control it (Poland). You can just do all these things. The secret is you just have to be on the right side of the European Commission.

Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval.
Neuralink’s first product is called Telepathy. It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years. Read that sentence again.

In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party. But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold … 🍿

No. The British people do not want Gazan students. Most, if not all, will have been taught to hate Jews since the crib. We have a crisis of antisemitism - we should not be endangering more British Jews.

When I was in Africa, there was a constant, visceral hatred of whites because we had stuff and they didn’t. There was no corresponding curiosity about how that stuff was created, multiplied or maintained. All that mattered was that they wanted the stuff and that it was “unfair” they didn’t have it. This is exactly the mentality that socialism feeds because it is exactly the same instinct, only expressed in fancier language. You could hear it explicitly and repeatedly in the words of the rioters, looters and protesters in France. You can hear it in the words of the illegal immigrants / invaders to the West. It’s the resentful cry of those who believe that stuff falls magically from the sky, and who demand their share of the magic too.

I find it interesting that the people most unsuited for a paradigm where brutal violence is the determining factor in society are the ones who giggle as they promote it. Careful what you wish for.
this is not a small group of people on the left anymore, but a large, dominant faction without whom democrats can’t win elections. and there is no debating them, because they aren’t interested in changing your mind. they just earnestly want you to die.

In this alternative reality, the opposition leader who is out of power fleeing into exile, and the father who is in prison are the authoritarians. And the guy who controls all security forces of the state, the electoral system, and largely the media through state subsidies, and who ordered a travel ban on his opponent within seven minutes of being declared the winner of the presidential election after having his former lawyer acting as judge extend the closure of the polls and suspend the counting for two hours is the democratic man representing the will of the people. Please follow @AOC for more daily comedy and satire.
Yesterday, Brazil showed the world that the will of the people is stronger than the authoritarians who try to suppress it. Congratulations President @LulaOficial and congratulations Brazil.
