"[Charlie] had an opinion that he would express on politics and religion. That DOES NOT make it 'HATE.' But the fact that [the defense] even CONSIDERED it as 'hate' MAKES THE CASE for the state," prosecutors said
"The state takes GREAT exception with Mr. Novak attributing all of this 'HATE' to Mr. Kirk during his argument today."
The defense just opened up a BIG can of worms, seemingly trying to argue kiIIing "hateful" people for their speech is NOT political assassination.

Defaming an assassination victim like this is EVIL.
"Mr. Kirk spoke HATEFULLY of certain groups of people. He spoke HATEFULLY of people who don't have traditional norm-conforming gender identities. He spoke HATEFULLY of people who are not strictly heterosexual," Robinson co-counsel Richard Novak said
"We all know, because we live in the real world, the kinds of things that Mr. Kirk said. Which some people find hateful."
The prosecutor is not reacting to a vibe. Heβs pointing at the enhancement.
If Novak frames Kirkβs speech as βhate,β the state uses that as proof the shooting was about political expression. That is the exact theory Graf left alive today. Itβs why aggravated murder and the death penalty survived the hearing.
You donβt beat a political targeting charge by agreeing the speech was the motive.
Theyβre translating βChristianβ as hate.
Thatβs not what he was doing.
Charlie treated the act as a soul problem. You can think he was wrong. You can think he was right. What you donβt get to do is pretend love and hate are the same thing.
