ADHD brains are not broken, they are abandoned. High executive functioning brains blew past us and established social norms around their own strengths. Neurodivergence was supposed to mean all of us working together, but ambition took over and look what it's done to the planet.

1997. Two week strike in the fall and 5 unions. Some unions capitulated early when parents were on side of teachers. Principals and VPs taken out of unions and education has never been the same. Constant underfunding and Principals became the mouthpieces of the boards

Strike votes by teachers are being scheduled because @fordnation refused to negotiate before contracts were up months ago, or over the summer….
Doug wants a strike during the school year to decrease public support for teachers by inconveniencing parents!
Ontario's biggest education union, ETFO, has scheduled a strike vote for November.
They're the second of four unions to take this step this week

While championing strict anti-abortion laws for everyone else, court records and audio logs proved he pressured his mistress to get an abortion and mutually agreed to two more with his ex-wife. Yes, that’s three abortions for the ultimate family-values conservative.
But wait, it gets better: the mistress was actually his active medical patient. The Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners had to formally reprimand him for unprofessional conduct because apparently, "doctor-patient boundaries" are just a suggestion.
Good to know that a lifetime anti-abortion voting record magically washes away three personal abortions. Hypocrisy at its absolute finest.

Teachers are constantly told to sacrifice to prove their commitment to students.
In other professions “accept less to show you care” would be called exploitation.

This is from a teacher who had the courage to speak up at a school board meeting. The highlighted statement is what really resonated with me.
Superintendents- if your teachers, APs, and Principals stopped working unpaid hours, would your district fall apart?
