I think buying and selling is one of the best businesses to venture into, especially in Nigeria. You can make a lot of money overnight, and it’s one of the ways to build generational wealth.

At my former job, a supervisor once called an employee into a meeting because he kept leaving work exactly at 5 p.m., even when the rest of the team stayed late.
Everyone thought he was lazy.
He had worked at the company for five years, but recently, he had stopped volunteering for extra shifts and refused to answer work calls after hours. His supervisor finally complained to HR.
During the meeting, the supervisor said, “We need team players, not people who watch the clock while everyone else carries the workload.”
The employee listened quietly before asking, “Have you checked my actual performance numbers?”
HR pulled up his records. He had completed every assigned task on time and had fewer errors than most people on the team.
His supervisor replied, “That’s not the point. Sometimes people have to make sacrifices.”
Then HR asked him why he had stopped staying late.
He said, “Because three months ago, my daughter was diagnosed with a condition that requires regular therapy. Her appointments are at 6 p.m., and I’m the only parent available to take her.”
The room went quiet…
