VoxDev just published a blog post on a project that I have been working on with Joe Kaboski, Virgiliu Midrigan, and Carolyn Pelnik--we show that the elasticity of supply of investment goods matters a lot for the impact of increased access to finance in alleviating poverty traps.
Grants & finance in #Uganda alleviate poverty traps associated with lumpy investments, but the impact depends on investment good supply.
