I was expecting Israel to be a little America—mostly English-speaking, a land full of convenience.
What I found was distinctly Middle Eastern—the people are brash, speak with their hands, and often don't know a lick of English. There are stray cats everywhere, mopeds, and graffiti. The street signs are in Hebrew, English, and Arabic. There is a mosque on prime beachfront property in Tel Aviv.
There is every kind of citizen imaginable. I saw Ethiopian Jews serving in the IDF. While touring an ancient Jewish site, I ran into a group of Arab schoolchildren also there to learn. I met a Mizrahi cab driver whose parents fled Morocco in the 50s.
Douglas Murray famously made Americans irate when he flamed Dave Smith on an episode of Joe Rogan for having never traveled to Israel—but he’s right. Visiting Israel shows you just how wrong the west is about the Jewish state.
Just go there.

Muslim women in burqas voting in the Israeli elections today.
Muslim women have more rights in Israel than in basically any Muslim country.

Stop frying your brain with endless short form content. Read long, complicated, books. Especially novels. Cultivate the ability to think deeply. To focus for long periods. Stare into space and enjoy boredom. Do tasks without any media playing in the background. Resist the urge to reach for your phone every time you feel uncomfortable. Get used to being with uncomfortable emotions instead. Wonder and think about the questions you have instead of asking AI. Become deeply present with everyone around you. Your ability to focus, pay attention, to think deeply, is one of your most valuable assets. Reclaim the immense beauty of experiencing your life directly instead of living it through a screen.

in order to win you have to be willing to become completely incomprehensible to people who have no intention of living the life you want. think about how absurd it is to take the one existence you have been given and spend it negotiating the terms of your own ambition with people who will never have to live with the consequences of your surrender. let them think you've lost your mind. there are worse things than being misunderstood. you could spend your whole life being understood perfectly and never once find out what you were capable of.

Kudos to @BenMulroney for composing this brilliant Israel land acknowledgement, recited tonight at the Bnai Brith gala. This should be recited at every Jewish or Zionist gathering.

Everytime you show up and allow yourself to be seen despite feeling fear, your psyche learns: "this fear no longer has the power to shut me down".
That's what self liberation looks like. Keep going.

There is an unwritten rule to life that most people never get told. After every long stretch of hardship and uncertainty, a period comes where you make quantum leaps across multiple areas of your life at once. It happens all at once, and it happens because of everything you survived before it. The only requirement on your end is simple. Do not give up on yourself before that period arrives.
the entire agency landscape right now.
A lot of tech startups have tried to hire me to "do content." They come into the meeting with nothing more than a vague desire for good publicity and more customers: no ability to describe what they really want you to do. They want YOU to tell THEM what you need to do AND ALSO DO IT, all for like 5k a month max.
