This is the best robotic dev kit you can buy to start learning/experimenting.
Introducing Laika, by Lucen Robotics. An open, modular robotics kit for anyone building physical AI. Biped, 7-DoF arm, dual arms, wheeled robot, quadruped — reusable, repairable, open. For under $6k, one kit converts into 4 embodiments instead of buying 4 robots, 3 times cheaper than Unitree EDU. Arm-only kits start at $1,999. We're fortunate to have early support from @fdotinc. Pre-orders are open, limited to 100 units, shipping in December. lucenrobotics.com

Holy F this is cool!
Today, we're shipping real-time graphics. Using Sol 6.1 Ultrafast we can generate custom overlays, diagrams, and even interactive 3D scenes right on a user's screen, no chat. It's a new visual interface for AI. Here's me learning about LLMs + hardware. Demo:

It’s time for incredible American actuators
Introducing Silica. We make actuators 50x more sensitive at an affordable price, so that robots can feel the world around them. When I was at Apple, I developed technology that helped humans live more creative and connected lives. Now I make hardware for the training age, so that robots can begin to share that world with us. We just opened pre-orders. Check out silicamachines.com to learn more.

Hiring: Founding Creative / Videographer Competitive starting comp + equity — SF + Detroit (travel both). Report directly to the CEO at @aureliuslasers You're a fit if you have: - Shipped real YouTube (channel, series, or long-form product/factory films you owned end-to-end). - A portfolio that proves it — reel + links only. No resumes. - Gone viral or broken through on X / YouTube with hardware, industrial, auto, aerospace, or defense-adjacent work. - Set the look for something, then gotten behind the camera and cut it yourself. - Talked shop with at least one founder shipping real product (not just decks). - Native English speaker. Aurelius Systems builds autonomous directed energy — lasers that stop drones at the speed of light, for the cost of electricity. Archimedes is autonomous, edge-deployed, and field-repairable. We're a small team in San Francisco and Detroit reindustrializing what defense forgot how to build. The US and our allies are unable to effectively destroy drones at scale, we believe that every day we're delayed more people die, or infrastructure is destroyed to these drones. The job is one seat: creative ideator and videographer. You'll set the visual and narrative system, then shoot, edit, and ship it. Shop floors, field tests, founder cuts for X, longer YouTube / launch films We are a very small and tight knit team, traveling the country shooting down drones with lasers. It's demanding and if you love making hard things look as cool as they are, it's a dream. DM me a reel + YouTube + 2 links if you are a fit (or [email protected] — portfolio only, not interested in a resume, just what you've made).

Claude Code is so good the guy who built it doesn't need to work anymore He’s back to World of Warcraft
I’ve left Anthropic after more than a year of working on Claude Code and seeing it scale larger than I ever imagined. I have really loved working at Ant and believe deeply in the mission, and most of all, the idea of a race to the top. The idea that if we work hard and responsibly, we can raise the bar and inspire others to great outcomes. And if we all push each other to be better, things can be radically good. I will carry the spirit of this with me forever. My colleagues at Anthropic are the most talented, thoughtful, competent, and earnest people I have ever met. I am glad they are at the wheel and trust them deeply. To the community on X, thank you for everything. You’ve made this the most fun (and sometimes stressful) job I’ve ever had. For me, it is time for a bit of a break before diving into something new. If you want more excellent Claude Code content, you should follow @addyosmani , @lydiahallie, @_catwu, @ClaudeDevs and of course @bcherny who started it all.

Everyone said I was full of shit back then. This is only 6 months ago.
Just met an engineer at a top AI lab. Claims nobody goes to the office anymore, they just have agents running the work while they manage everything from a phone. Man is literally "working" from coffee shops and the beach. The future is wild.

As a builder in the AI video space, I was terrified about how much markup API providers charge for simply routing the models. Higgsfield API adds a 40% markup even with its maximum advertised discount. Fal adds 100%. Runway adds 414% (Seedance 2 480p) I might be hated by the industry, but :
Today, we’re launching Sume API, the first image & video model provider with 0% markup. For example with Seedance 2.5 1080p • 50% cheaper than fal • 50% cheaper than higgsfield api (29% even with biggest discount) • 28.02% cheaper than kie ai The routing infrastructure layer is never the moat. We believe that APIs should be commoditized, and the moats will be built at the application layer. Check the pricing comparisons below, and see how the broken industry is saved.
