Black. Beautiful. Barbie. 🩷
Being one of the first Black women to have a Barbie made in my likeness will always mean so much to me. My skin, my braids, my smile... a little piece of me that other little girls could see themselves in. That’s something I’ll treasure forever.
I love these pictures, I love this song, and I LOVE being Barbie. The little girl in me is having the time of her life. 💕
Happy Halloween, my loves... pretty in pink, with a little history in the box. 🎀

A case study of the inherent classicism and anti-Blackness of capitalism.
2 Chainz got into a DEBATE with Keith Lee after bringing up the BAD REVIEW Keith gave his restaurant, with Keith arguing that his reviews should reflect how REGULAR CUSTOMERS are treated, while 2 Chainz insisted celebrities EARN special treatment 😳👀
2 Chainz also questioned whether Keith’s strict diet as a former athlete affects his TASTE in food and how he judges restaurants.
“I’m an entertainer, and obviously we get perks that other people don’t get. That’s just period, my boy. I don’t stand in line at the airport. I don’t do none of that because I done worked my ass off to do this.”

The episode of Kate Plus 8 where Collin Gosselin gave his mom the bear gift, and she brushed it off ...
His book reveals that far more was happening behind the scenes than anyone realized at the time, making her reaction even more disturbing than we initially thought.
This story is incredibly heartbreaking, but it's also an important one to pay attention to.
So many children are brought into the world of family content creation, and it raises some serious questions about how much say they actually have in their participation, and what their lives are really like when the cameras stop rolling.

They don’t make episodes like this no more.
Smart Guy🎬
My husband invited his mistress to our tenth wedding anniversary dinner, seated her three chairs away from me, and watched me thank her for coming. But the affair wasn’t what destroyed me. It was discovering that almost everyone at that table had helped him hide it.
There were twelve guests, including my parents, my younger sister, my husband’s brother, and friends we’d known for years. He’d reserved a private dining room at a restaurant where dinner cost more than our monthly mortgage. Everyone was laughing, ordering expensive wine, and telling stories about our marriage. The woman sat beside my sister, wearing a delicate gold bracelet identical to one I’d found in my husband’s car six months earlier. He’d claimed it was a gift for his brother’s girlfriend. I might have dismissed the coincidence if I hadn’t watched my sister lean over and whisper, “You okay? I know tonight’s awkward.” The woman nodded and glanced at my husband. Something cold settled in my stomach. When my husband stepped outside to take a call, I followed him into the hallway. “How long?” I asked. His expression changed immediately. “Please don’t do this here.” That was all the confirmation I needed. “How long?” I repeated. “Almost two years,” he admitted. I stared at him. “And they know?” He didn’t answer. When I walked back into the room, nobody asked why I’d been crying. My mother simply reached across the table, squeezed my hand, and whispered, “Sweetheart, just get through dinner.” I realized then that she wasn’t comforting me. She was asking me to cooperate.
And this is one of the many reasons why there cant be a marvin gaye biopic
When Marvin Gaye married Berry Gordy’s sister Anna in 1963, the couple intended to raise a family. The problem, however, was Anna’s age — she was already in her forties at the time and unable to conceive a child. Gaye did not want to just adopt a kid, it was important for him to feel a biological connection to the child.
So Anna Gordy suggested they get another girl to birth the child for them. She then mentioned she had a fifteen-year-old niece, Denise Gordy. If Marvin impregnates her, the child will have a biological connection to both Anna as well as Marvin. So it was decided — I suppose Denise’s feelings mattered little.
Marvin Gaye and his wife groomed her teenage niece; he impregnated her, and when she was sixteen, she gave birth to his first son, Marvin Gaye III. The couple subsequently legally adopted the child and kept his true parentage from him.
And Marvin Gaye got away with it. He continued to to enjoy his fame for another decade or so until his own father murdered him inside their family home.

Roanoke gotta be the most not-mystery mysteries ever found. Like gee, I wonder where the colony of Roanoke went? Maybe to the place they carved the name of onto the tree stumps, which is the same place they were told to go if they had to abandon the colony?
