Teaching grok about sibling NGOs, and donor-advised funds this AM:
The parent on the return is the fund. From 2019 through 2024, three of those funds pay Mediators Foundation and the street shops:

Natalie Winters' reporting is plugging a lot of holes in the Democracy Files from a different direction.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: European Parliament money helped fund a CLOSED-DOOR meeting on resistance to Trump and MAGA ahead of America’s midterms.
The keynote speaker? A University of Georgia professor who had publicly argued that Democratic victories could “make Trump a much weaker president for the rest of his second term.”
The June 3 meeting examined where Democratic Party, activist and NGO resistance was working—and how European progressives could learn from it and strengthen transatlantic cooperation.
The agenda spells it out:
“CLOSED DOOR ROUNDTABLE.”
“financial support of the European Parliament.”
European Parliament Vice-President Katarina Barley convened it. The Foundation for European Progressive Studies and Germany’s Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung organized it.
Professor Cas Mudde delivered the keynote, according to the organizers’ recap.

🗳️ Don't read too much into big early-vote leads for Democrats.
North Carolina is the clearest example. Its early vote is D+14.6 by party registration, double 2022's D+7.1 at this point. But look at who's voting:
📈 56% of reliable Democrats have already voted (38% at this point in 2022)
📉 Only 37% of reliable Republicans have (34% in 2022)
Democrats are voting earlier, not necessarily voting more. Their reliable voters will only turn out so much in total, so the early lead shrinks as the rest vote.
🔴 Reliable voters still to vote: about 740K Republicans vs. 446K Democrats
Election Day will be red. 🇺🇸
