These 2 are above your shoulders when making a big decision. What would Bob Dylan say...
Still a bop.
“Nookie” was released in 1999 as the lead single from Limp Bizkit's second album, Significant Other. The title itself came from Wes Borland, who said he spotted the word “nookie” on the cover of a magazine in the studio and jokingly suggested it as the song's name.
The track became Limp Bizkit's first single to enter the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 80, while reaching No. 3 on the Alternative Songs chart and No. 6 on Mainstream Rock. It also earned the band their first Grammy nomination, for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2000. The music video, directed by Fred Durst and filmed in Long Island City, turns the song into a chaotic street spectacle. Hundreds of fans participated in the shoot and the video ends with Durst being arrested for disturbing the peace.
