The course of world history would be different if Al Gore had won in 2000 but, even more important than that, America would have had its first "Halloween President"
EL-SAYED: RFK JR. was in town this week. He said that the 500 million Arabs in the world had never contributed anything to science. But to be fair, he is an expert on people who never contributed anything to science.
He didn't bother to show up when 8000 people were infected by the shit lettuce. But he wants to come here and lecture you about potentially electing and arab-american to the U.S. Senate

Sonnet 116. Patrick's favourite. Take one minute out of your day to hear the bard's words spoken by someone who lived by them.

My daughter decided she wanted to be Darth Vader for Halloween, so my son said he would be Luke. I’m unpacking the boots I bought for his costume and this tweet is all I can think about

“I no longer feel proud to be Israeli… We are occupiers, yes… wait, i thought we were on commercial break!”
Amazing — Israeli actress Chelli Goldenberg accidentally tells the truth when she doesn’t realize she’s live on the air. (H/T @MintPressNews)

In 1991, Patrick Stewart surprised STAR TREK creator Gene Roddenberry with a song and dance routine on the USS Enterprise-D bridge. The footage was never meant for public viewing, but eventually surfaced as a Season 5 DVD bonus feature.

this is what a real man looks like. this is what real strength looks like. he couldn't stop his father as a child, so he spent his whole life standing up for his mother. never forget that.
Patrick Stewart, who died today at 86, became Professor X and Captain Picard. As a boy, he watched his father beat his mother, and heard the doctors who came to help tell her it was her own fault.
In the video below, a woman thanks him for helping her survive her own abuse, and his answer brings the whole room to its feet.
He grew up in a poor mill town in England. His father came home from World War II a different man and turned his violence on Patrick's mother.
Every time the doctors and ambulance men came, they told her she must have provoked him, that it takes two to make an argument.
Decades later, Stewart learned from his father's war records that he had been suffering from severe shell shock that was never treated.
So he spent the rest of his life working for two charities: one for abused women, in his mother's name, and one for traumatized soldiers, in his father's.
He could have spent his life hating his father. Instead, he spent it helping others. Is that the kind of legacy that matters more than fame?
