Street closures and detours for Virginia City's Hot August Night event this weekend
Heads up, folks! Hot August Nights rolls into Virginia City tomorrow, bringing a few traffic changes on July 31 and Aug. 1.
Traffic Update:
• C Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily between State Route 342 and Sutton Street for the classic car display.
Post Office Access:
The Post Office will remain open during its regular business hours. However, vehicle access will not be available due to the street closure and the large number of pedestrians in the area.
Post Office Shuttle:
A free shuttle will be available for Post Office customers:
• July 31: 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m.
• Aug. 1: 9 to 11 a.m.
Parking and pickup location: Designated parking spaces for the shuttle are located at the southwest corner of Taylor and D streets, just north of the school gym. This is also where the shuttle will pick up and drop off passengers.
