1. Trump is an idiot for starting this war.

M16 and M4 (which I own) are not the same weapon. The AR-15 is universally referred to as the civilian application of the M16. The M16 has something the AR-15 doesn't: burst fire. Burst fire makes the M16 technically an automatic weapon. The AR-15 is a semi-auto weapon. So no, they are not the same weapon. If they were, they would behave the same way and would have the same name. that's just logic. For example, there is a reason why they call a striped horse that can't be tamed a Zebra. Because, while they are strikingly similar, they are not the same. I'm not going to let you make a false point by playing with words. Definitions of words matter. They are not the same weapon. The scene with the veteran at recruiting isn't satirical either. In one part because it's a scene from the book devoid of it's narrative context that the Federation puts wounded veterans up front to scare potential recruits into quitting. Because they only want people who are deadly serious about signing up.
The other is that I've know men in the military who've taken grievous, career ending injuries and would say the same thing. It's only satirical to a European like Verhoeven who has no mental concept of pride in one's nation and being willing to defend it with your own body.
