If your country arrests children for criticizing and ridiculing politicians, you don't live in a free country.
If your country arrests people for posting political memes on social media, you don't live in a free country.
Britain isn't a free country anymore.

CRINGE RANT:
It's pretty wild watching these types of artists suddenly discover IP rights the second Trump's Department of Education runs someone's Avatar fanart through AI for a meme.
I personally make art, memes, and content that gets spread across the internet, and all I have to say is: welcome to the damn Internet, is this your first day?
My work gets stolen, altered, and used constantly. Sometimes I get credit, sometimes I don't. Sometimes people don't even believe that I drew something myself, especially if it goes viral. (I'll answer questions on that privately) Sometimes I don't watermark my shit, AI or not, and I don't have anyone to blame but myself. That's how this place has always worked. AI didn't invent it.
What makes the outrage especially ridiculous: this is Avatar fanart. These aren't characters or stories the artist created. They're derivative work based on someone else's IP. People have been tracing frames, copying compositions, and drawing other people's characters for decades. That's what fanart is. The moment an AI does the same thing under an administration they hate, suddenly it's "theft" and the artists are the victims.
You don't own Aang because you drew Aang. The original IP still belongs to the rights holders. You might have copyright in your specific expression if it meets the bar, and fair use can apply to your fanart just like it can apply to someone else using or transforming it. If they took your exact copyrighted file and altered it, use the law. Show the proof. But don't pretend that AI-generating fanart of a fictional character is some unique crime against you. Especially when anyone can do Zuko and Aang doing the Dragon Dance surrounded by orange smoke.
The selective outrage is telling. I strongly doubt this level of reaction would exist if an administration they liked had done it. More likely we'd get "OMG the White House used my art!! Senpai noticed me!!"
And the she/her in the bio makes the script pretty predictable. Pronouns in bio, principles out the window the second politics is involved.
If you think your specific work was copied, prove it. From what I can tell, there is not even watermark the supposed original so who is to say. Maybe I am just blind. But if you just hate that the Trump administration made some Avatar content with AI, say that instead of pretending this is about artists' rights. The internet has been using your favorite fictional characters for years; it has been copying fanart and will keep doing it. Drawing them doesn't give you veto power over everyone else.

A happy person doesn't behave like this, neither does a successful one.
You have to be a very hollow scrotum pincher to spend your limited time on Earth this way.
They already have their punishment, they need to live in their own skin 24/7, no escape!
You build the reality around you, if you're wise, you'll build a fun and fruitful one!
At the end of the day, just like in your last breath, you are alone with yourself.
Make it so the person in the mirror is the funniest kindest bastard/bastardette you can ever be, and you will never have a bad or boring time!

Jason Isaacs completely refused to join the public "pile-on" against J.K. Rowling, arguing that real life is far too complicated for instant internet cancellations
Jason Isaacs thinks his former acting colleagues are doing exactly that: stabbing J.K. Rowling in the back. Kicking her while she’s down, turning on her now that it’s become “fashionable,” and speaking badly of her. He doesn’t necessarily even agree with her controversial views. But as a matter of principle, he won’t throw her under a bus.
“There’s a lot to say about Jo,” Isaacs told the Telegraph when asked about Rowling, using her first name (Joanne). “You know, I play complicated people, and I’m drawn to complicated people. I don’t want to get pulled into the trans issue and talk about it, because it’s such an extraordinary minefield.”
He went on to mention some of Rowling’s good works.
"She has her view, and I have mine," Isaacs continued.
"They differ on many levels. But one thing people should also know about her, and I'm not saying it as a counter-argument, is that through her charity Lumos she has given a huge part of her fortune to making the world better for hundreds of thousands of vulnerable children.
And that is unquestionably a good thing. Many of us Harry Potter actors have worked with it and seen the work she does up close."
What Isaacs did is truly admirable: he refused to hand the press yet another juicy story about a former franchise actor publicly discrediting J.K. Rowling. Instead, he did something rare in today's bloodthirsty clickbait world. He pointed out the good in a person, accepted that they disagree, and moved on. Nicely done!

Two nights ago I said words I knew I'd regret.
"This is starting to feel more real than real life."
Sometimes, it's good to take a step back and connect with physical people around us.
See that people don't have the hatred so apparently in these online spaces.
Remember.
We are beings of flesh and blood.
We are not islands.

A std::string in LLVM's libc++ can hold up to 22 characters without allocating any memory on the heap.
The entire string object is just 24 bytes on common 64-bit systems.
For longer strings, those same bytes store a pointer, length, and capacity instead.
the trick is small string optimization (SSO): a union that lets the string reuse the same memory for two completely different representations.
On a typical 64-bit system, both representations fit in 24 bytes.
the string doesn't need a separate allocation until it outgrows its own object.
