My dad would make T-shirts for kids in the neighborhood, hand drawing their favorite player’s jerseys using Magic Markers and looking at their baseball cards…in the 80’s I went to a beer promo Brooks was at in Bethesda MD and he signed the shirt!

In 2015, some 30 years later, I sent Brooks a long letter and pictures, essentially sharing the above stories, not knowing if he ever got the letter. Well, being the epitome of class, he replied w a handwritten note on Hall of Fame stationary! Forever my hero! RIP Brooks!!❤️
