On Monday I told a patient with SCLC, this is the treatment plan today, but I’m hoping next week I can bring you better news from #ESMO26
👇 THIS is what we are here for!
🌟 PRACTICE CHANGING update for ES-SCLC: adding tarlatamb to maintenance durvalumab increases median OS by 58% (9mo)

Thrilled to share updated results from JNJ-6143, the AR-BRD4 RIPTAC therapy, presented by @BGarmezy. Totally novel MOA was well tolerated, oral pill and produced significant benefit for pts (PSA90 50%, ORR 68%). P2 trial active now and more coming. Lots of potential!

Great time discussing the gaps in care for prostate and kidney cancer at 2026 @OncLive Bridging the Gals for GU cancers led by @DrRanaMcKay @TDorffOnc
Kicking off 2026 OncLive Bridging the Gaps meeting for GU cancer. The inimitable Dr Crawford lays out why biomarkers for localized #prostatecancer are underutilized
ANCOGU26: Full bladder ca continuum: perioperative EV-pembro or gem-cis-durva (NIAGARA/EV-303) pre-cystectomy, then in the metastatic setting: EV-P 1L → platinum-based chemo or FGFR/HER2 directed tx if EV-P-refractory. Trials at every stage @UCSFCancer @StanfordMed

Terrific talk from @koshkin85 @UCSFCancer on rare variants of #bladdercancer & #kidneycancer. Beautiful tables that summarize challenging-to-treat diagnoses such as #smallcell or #adenocarcinoma. @gbanna74 @DrYukselUrun @ravikanesvaran @drkomanduri

Our study is now published in @JAMANetworkOpen!
We mapped 436 bladder cancer clinical trials across US counties and examined associations with incidence, mortality, & social vulnerability. Among 3,145 US counties, 77.3% had no bladder cancer trials! 🧵⬇️

Coming out of fellowship, there are many things I wish I had known when I started.
In our latest @ASCO Connection article, Stephanie Haddad, Charbel Matar, and I share practical lessons on navigating Heme/Onc fellowship: managing consults, finding mentors, getting started in research, and making the most of training.

A message to @NazliDizman:
Today you will graduate from your #oncology fellowship at @UTMDAnderson. The picture below is from the 2016 @myESMO meeting in Copenhagen just after you started with my group at @cityofhope. You were my first postdoctoral fellow, and honestly, I didn't know what the heck I was doing when it came to mentoring you. The fortunate thing is you were a self starter & made my job incredibly easy, paving a clear path not just for yourself but for the trainees that came after. It's been a joy to see all that you have accomplished - publishing in @NatureMedicine, @TheLancetOncol, @JCO_ASCO & other top tier journals, getting amazing young investigator grants from @ASCO, @KidneyCancer & more & racking up more @ConquerCancerFd Merit Awards than any other trainee in recent memory (maybe tied with @crisbergerot?). Along the way, you've kept a humility & kindness about you that is unmatched, always willing to lend a hand to your junior colleagues. Your road has not been an easy one, coming from tumultuous times abroad to @cityofhope, then to @YaleIMed and then to @UTMDAnderson, but this arduous road has equipped you well for your first faculty position at @DanaFarber. I am so proud to see you join a group of oncology luminaries at @Harvard (@DrChoueiri, @KimmieNgMD, @stolaney1, @mishabeltran & so many others!!) - I am confident your stellar trajectory will continue further with their support. Enjoy Boston and know that you will always have support & good vibes coming from the west coast.
All the best,
#WorkDad

What an absolute honor to chair the papillary RCC Education Session at #ASCO26! 🙌🔬
Papillary renal cell carcinoma is a disease that demands our attention, and this session covered the full spectrum 🧬 — biology ➡️ frontline ➡️ refractory disease.
I was thrilled to review subsequent lines + novel therapeutic approaches for refractory papillary RCC 💉💙, including the emerging strategies and clinical trial opportunities that give me so much hope for our patients. 🌟
Huge thanks to my incredible co-faculty Dr. Ramaprasad Srinivasan 🧠 & @charlesbnguyen for such an engaging discussion — collaboration like this is what moves the field forward! 🚀

The PROTEUS trial results are now online...buckle up as we wait to see the full presentation. This is going to be a trial that is likely highly controversial until the full results are published.
Some may call this a homerun, others may call this the largest negative trial @ASCO 2026. Up to you to interpret!
