The Scottish island of Arran, just off our west coast, is 167 sq miles in size. The Gaza strip on the Mediterranean is smaller at 141 sq miles. The population of Arran is under 5,000. 2 million people live in the Gaza strip.

Our emergency street team come across a man at 3am who was cold, shivering siting on a bench in george square asking for help to get back to his homeless accommodation, we called @GlasgowCC @GCHSCP to request help they said no he could walk 47 minutes back also said if he started walking at midnight when he missed his bus he would be home by now. Shocking attitude!!! @SM_GCHSCP What’s your thoughts 💭 please share & comment below

I know many have critiques of ACE but the situation in Scotland and Wales is in my opinion a lot more dire (I’m not across the NI funding landscape), with many organisations at significant risk of going under.

Incredible @scotgov response to criticism from @CreativeScots over its approach to arts funding - “short-term in nature & precarious in reality” - & warnings of mass insolvencies & job cuts. A 10% funding cut has been reimposed weeks before applications for crucial support close.

Shocking news: the Scottish Government is breaking its promise on arts funding.
In February, thousands joined our campaign to speak out against a £6.6 million cut to Creative Scotland.
It worked. Ministers abandoned the cut.
But now they're bringing it back.
