The Clan of Southern Man written by me. Traces the history of Black people all the way back to the beginning of the human line. Proves Blacks had advanced civilizations long before there were any other races on Earth. Connects Blacks to the ancient Egyptian civilization of lore.

For the first time in a while, the Kennedy Center was brimming with life. Thousands of supporters gathered Friday, surrounding as much of the building as they could, in protest of President Trump’s takeover and closure of the venue. wapo.st/4h5Q2tm

Sweet potatoes are one of the only foods that simultaneously fight diabetes, reduce inflammation, protect your heart, and feed your gut bacteria all at the same time. And the science behind how they do it is remarkable. → Sweet potatoes trigger GLP-1 the same hormone Ozempic mimics naturally. Okinawans ate sweet potatoes as up to 90% of their diet and had some of the lowest cardiovascular disease rates ever recorded. Papua New Guinea Highlanders show similar results. → Resistant starch bypasses small intestine digestion and reaches the large intestine intact where gut bacteria ferment it into butyrate (primary fuel for colon lining cells), GLP-1, and short-chain fatty acids. Cook, cool, then reheat to maximise resistant starch content. → The colour determines the benefit: purple varieties (Hawaiian, Stokes) highest anthocyanins, linked to brain and vascular protection. Orange varieties (Garnet, Covington) highest beta-carotene, linked to cardiovascular and immune protection. Rotate both daily for the full antioxidant spectrum. → Cholesterol-free, saturated fat-free. Phytonutrients reduce vascular inflammation. Antioxidants prevent LDL oxidation the step that makes cholesterol dangerous. All 1,000+ men in one cardiovascular study who had heart attacks were deficient in lycopene and beta-carotene.

Joe Rogan suddenly acting like he was an innocent bystander for years and had no idea what Trump was all about until now and did nothing to help get him elected is pretty weak and pathetic. Just own it.

Montgomery's bus boycott ran for 381 days. It needed cars, gas, insurance and drivers — and money that could not be traced to anyone who could be fired for giving it. A cook solved that problem with pound cake. Georgia Gilmore. She had testified in court about being thrown off a bus, and lost her job for it. Dr. King helped her set up a kitchen in her own house. Then she organized women across Montgomery into a fundraising operation she deliberately named the Club From Nowhere — so that when the money arrived at mass meetings, nobody could be identified, targeted, or sacked. They sold sweet potato pies, fried fish and pound cake at beauty shops and on street corners, week after week, for over a year. Her kitchen fed the movement and funded the carpools. King ate at her table. Kennedy ate at her table. The boycott is remembered as speeches and lawsuits. It ran on pie money from women nobody was writing down. Georgia Gilmore’s story is one of the many stories in black history that is never spoken about. Black history is not only about the famous names. It’s also about the people whose courage, sacrifice, and stories were nearly forgotten.

Trump is banning CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House because of their unfavorable coverage of his administration. Reporters for these outlets never have much to say when journalists in Gaza are being executed, or when any outspoken indie media in the US get targeted by the feds. They toed the line, sold their souls, and turned a blind eye to certain atrocities against journalists abroad... only to get censored anyways. Maybe this sleight against them will actually wake them up to the abuses against members of the press that happen around the world that they've been ignoring their entire careers.

Detroit had a neighborhood with more than three hundred Black-owned businesses — clubs where Billie Holiday and John Coltrane played, doctors' offices, churches, newspapers. The city bulldozed it for a freeway. Black Bottom and Paradise Valley. The demolition was called urban renewal. Tens of thousands of people were moved out, promised better housing, and largely not given it. The businesses simply ended — a Black commercial district built over three generations, closed by a route map. And here is the part that belongs to right now: Detroit is currently REMOVING that freeway. The stretch of highway that erased Black Bottom is being dug up and turned back into surface streets. Descendants have been fighting to make sure the land does not simply get sold to developers a second time. They paved over a neighborhood in the 1960s. Seventy years later the pavement is coming up — and the argument about who owns the ground underneath has started all over again.
