I believe Tennessee is worth fighting for. I have always believed that. And I will never stop believing it. This was one battle for the future of our state. It was not the end of the fight.
We have more work to do. More communities to organize. More voices to lift up. More people to bring into this movement.
And to every volunteer, every supporter, every person who donated, knocked a door, made a phone call, hosted a gathering, or simply told a friend why this campaign mattered: thank you.
Finishing under 50% of the vote doesn't give her a mandate for her administration. That under performance is not going to be popular with the Republican state legislators.
#Tennessee screwed up again. This state’s hypnotic infatuation with this airheaded fascist is mystifying and infuriating.
But I take solace in the fact that #MarshaBlackburn’s win was much narrower than expected. This state is purpling, and even one misstep could tip it blue.
