I don't get people being upset about the new MacBook Pros having a touchscreen. Don't need to use it, just like you don't have to use the Pencil with an iPad. You don't need the Pencil most of the time, but when you do, it's great. The same goes for the laptop touchscreens.

Probably some weird Core Audio bug. I find I have to quit Safari to stop the crackling. Surprised 27.2 still hasn't fixed, surely they are aware of this issue?!

I’m so tired of the state of macOS. Audio STILL crackles when building projects. TWO major releases and no fix. Apps still won’t stay on their assigned desktops. How are these basic things STILL broken?! What is Apple even doing?! 😤

I hope other developers also keep using horizontal toolbars and don't participate in the vertical nonsense. So that Apple eventually improves the Duo status bar and removes vertical toolbars and the dock.

After weeks of experimenting, I finally figured out a Mela layout that works well on Duo and generalises on all iPhones: - Hide the ugly status bar - Ignore safe areas, instead, adapt to device corners - Allow content behind the camera cutout Result: max screen real estate used

Some notes: - I don't think Duo's status bar is actually ugly - It's just awkward: position and dimensions aren't ideal - Generally, I don't like hiding the status bar, but for consistency, I did it for all iPhones. - On iPad, I don't hide it, as it's super useful for accessing the file menu

I showcase 2 new modules in Mela 7.17: Pitch Reader and Frequency Offset. Pitch Reader displays Pitch signal information, including the exact frequency, MIDI note name, and detune amount. Frequency Offset can be used instead of Relative Pitch when you want 2 detuned oscillators to beat at the same rate across the keyboard.
