Then they packaged you: the tea-seller story, the 56-inch chest, the costume changes, the laser shows, the stadium entrances, and reportedly an American lobbying firm to polish the shine. A real leader is formed by struggle. You were formed by marketing, and it shows every time you step in front of a camera without a script. Then they paid. Thousands of crores in anonymous electoral bonds, about half of all of it into your party’s account, until the Supreme Court tore the scheme up as unconstitutional in February 2024. Honest money doesn’t hide its name. Yours hid behind a law you wrote for it. Then you delivered. Airports, ports, coal, power, highways, the commanding heights of the economy, handed over one at a time to the same few names. When America indicted Gautam Adani over an alleged bribery scheme, you stood beside Trump and called it a “personal matter”. You have an opinion on India’s plates, wardrobes and marriages, and you suddenly discover privacy when your friend is charged. Your courage is a one-way street, and it only ever points down. You tear-gas students, beat girls at protests, jail comedians, lift the Leader of the Opposition into a police bus, and send the khaki after teenagers who wave the flag. Then Trump announces your ceasefire before you do, claims credit for it dozens of times, slaps 50% tariffs on Indian goods, and the great lion of Delhi cannot say his name. Fifty-six inches for Indian students, a folded hand for Washington. In twelve years you have not faced a single open press conference in India. A monk takes questions, a leader takes questions, a schoolteacher takes questions. Only a product is afraid of them, because one honest question is enough to crack the plastic. So you talk to the nation once a month on the radio, alone, and call your monologue a conversation. You wore your own name on your suit to meet Obama, and a diamond merchant bought it for ₹4.31 crore. In 2024 you told India you were not born biologically. That was the most honest thing you have ever said, because nobody is born like you. You were assembled in a boardroom, to order, with a warranty card issued to two families. Now look at the man you fear. Rahul Gandhi refused ministries, resigned when he lost, walked four thousand kilometres on a broken knee, sat through fifty hours of your ED, lost his seat and his house, and still named A1 and A2 to your face in Parliament. Nobody bought him, which is why he can look you in the eye. You have never been able to return the look, because a purchased man can only look at his owners or at the floor. A parasite feeds on a host, gives nothing back, and calls the host’s weakness its own strength. The host is India. You feed on its savings, its institutions, its young and its vote, and you call the bleeding “Amrit Kaal”. The next time someone tells you Gobi is a strong leader, ask them who he has ever stood up to who was stronger than him. Wait for the name. There isn’t one. Then send them this.
