The war to cleanse the synagogue is going to last at least two years! How can corrupt and hypocritical masqueraders turn politics into a bastion for blackmail, slander and hate-mongering? The merchants of hate will decide when this will end.

Today, at the 5th Annual Governance and Security Programme Review, I highlighted the critical congestion in Uganda’s juvenile justice facilities, most notably at Kampiringisa National Rehabilitation Centre, where 1,233 children occupy space intended for 780. Urgent ministerial action is imperative to ensure our state care system protects the basic rights and human dignity of these young people.
To resolve this crisis, we are prioritizing faster case processing, expanded diversion mechanisms, facility upgrades, and root-cause reintegration. I also sincerely thank our development partners for supporting the construction of the Moroto Remand Home, vital for expanding access to justice in Karamoja.
I call on Programme leadership and security to immediately convert these resolutions into fully resourced work plans with strict performance metrics. State custody must not be a dead end; our mandate is to protect rights, restore dignity, and ensure every child receives a meaningful second chance.
Trying to be one of the Pirates of the Caribbean before serious business starts 🤣🤣🤣 But what do you do when the airline loses your luggage and your choices are limited. As for the bandana it wasn’t my idea. Blame it on our UK High Commissioner Nimisha Madhvani🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
The @IGGUganda and @norbertmao are not at odds. From the beginning of the investigations we required everyone concerned to cooperate fully with the @IGGUganda. We shall comply with the directives of the @IGGUganda. If the Minister of Justice undermines the @IGGUganda then who will respect it?
UPDATE: @URSBHQ has engaged @Parliament_Ug's COSASE committee on governance, accountability and service delivery as the @IGGUganda and Justice Minister @NorbertMao remain at odds over the interdiction of four senior URSB officials over alleged corruption and mismanagement.

It was a pleasure visiting Tegot Farmstead in Gulu earlier this afternoon and witnessing the impressive work being done by Beatrice and Chairman @norbertmao. A great example of embracing modern agriculture to boost productivity and transform livelihoods!
This is hilarious! That the DNA Test will always find that the man with money is the father of the child (children)🤣
Check out the countdown and the journey so far via this link nuffofficial.com/
Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu has detonated the mother of all bombs. Mandatory DNA tests to determine the paternity of unborn babies? This is like lobbing teargas into maternity wards🤣. But the Luo say “PATERNITY IS A MATTER OF FAITH. MATERNITY IS A MATTER OF FACT.” Now cometh the question of surrogate mothers, fathers and babies! In this age and era a DNA test is no silver bullet! Let the debate begin.

The signing of the #SAFERProjectUG Phase III agreement marks a renewed commitment to strengthening access to justice, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and ensuring that women and girls affected by gender-based violence (GBV) receive the protection and support they deserve.
With €3.4 million in funding, the 30-month initiative will build on the progress made in previous phases, reaching approximately 830,000 people across Karamoja, Acholi and Lango. The project will strengthen survivor-centred services, enhance the capacity of justice and protection institutions, and challenge harmful social and cultural practices, including child marriage and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM).
The formal signing brought together government representatives, development partners, justice and law enforcement agencies, civil society organisations and other key stakeholders, demonstrating a collective commitment to creating safer communities where survivors can access essential services and justice without fear, stigma or discrimination.
As Phase III gets underway, the focus will be on turning these commitments into lasting impact through stronger collaboration across the justice, health and community sectors, while building sustainable systems that protect the rights and dignity of women and girls.
Through the SAFER Project, partners are advancing a shared vision of a Uganda where every woman and girl is protected from violence, empowered to claim her rights and able to access justice with dignity.
