Behind every crisis are people seeking safety, support & a path forward. Funded by the #LebanonHumanitarianFund, @INTERSOSLebanon delivered psychosocial assistance, case management &legal counseling in Baalbek-Hermel, standing with vulnerable communities when they needed it most.

3/5 Families are returning to damaged or destroyed homes, lost livelihoods & limited services. Prefab housing offers relief, but people need water & electricity to be able to stay. Safe, dignified return means restoring essential services & livelihoods, not shelter alone.

2/5📍In Zawtar El Gharbiyeh, I walked through Imam Al-Sadr Public School. Its classrooms &lab remain heavily damaged from a direct strike. Yet children are learning again, thanks to the dedicated director & teachers. With winter approaching, restoring safe classrooms is urgent.

At Burj Qalaway in South🇱🇧, I listened to children back to learning. Their dreams reflect what they’ve endured: Adam wants to help people with trauma, Hassan to rebuild as an engineer &Amani to tell the world what they’ve witnessed as a journalist. Heartbreaking, yet inspiring

Important and insightful discussions in Tyre and Saida with displaced people from the south, forced to flee their homes following the destruction of their livelihoods and infrastructure. The visits were conducted alongside our humanitarian partner OCHA (Lebanon Humanitarian Fund), as well as the embassies of Spain, Norway, and Belgium.

3/4What struck me in Aana was how much people want to rebuild. Two spoke of continuing education &finding job, others of their need for a safe place to live. As collective shelters consolidate, families must have safe, suitable alternatives. No one should be left without shelter
