This Saturday is October 24, 2026.
Write it as 10/24/26 or 24/10/26, and the same beautiful relationship appears:

But here’s what makes today special.
There are infinitely many Pythagorean triples. Only a handful fit our calendar.
Using the rule
month² + day² = (last two digits of the year)²,
the month cannot exceed 12, and the day cannot exceed 31. Those small limits leave exactly 12 qualifying dates in this century.
Today is the last.
The next will be March 4, 2105:
3² + 4² = 5²
That is a wait of more than 78 years.

One piece of advice we got during YC was to explain our company using verbs instead of nouns.
Early on, I walked into a meeting and did the opposite:
“We’re building a cloud platform for AI”
No one knew that that meant, their eyes glazed over. Then I started saying this instead:
“We containerize your code and run it on GPUs in the cloud so you don’t have to manage the infra yourself”
That clicked way more. Our brains understand verbs because they’re more concrete. If you describe your company using nouns, you risk people not understanding you.
And no one buys or invests in things they don’t understand.

These games are addictive. First basketball, now this. I don't even care about the results in this one, I'm just trying to build great, balanced teams.
These are my two favourites so far. On the one on the right, I'd switch Rodri and Kanté, and swap the two centre-backs so they're playing on their natural side.
