I know a lot of people think or have convinced themselves that God has favorites. I mean, it’s hard not to. Some people seem to have life handed to them effortlessly. Some people stumble into opportunities that feel too good to be true while others grind, struggle, and pray as if the universe is asleep. And it’s tempting to say: “See? God has favorites.” But here’s the thing I feel like life doesn’t always operate on fairness, and blessings don’t always wear the label we expect. Grace isn’t a competition. Favour isn’t a comparison. Some people appear to have everything because their journey is different, their timing is different, and their struggles are unseen. God doesn’t play favorites; He meets each person exactly where they are. He gives what you need, not always what you want. Some receive early lessons, some receive late miracles. Some get wealth, some get wisdom. Some find love easily, some must learn patience and resilience first. None of it is proof of exclusion, only of divine timing. The truth is, everyone has their own measure of grace. What looks effortless from the outside may have been years in the making behind the scenes. And what looks like struggle may actually be the quiet shaping of something far greater than the eye can see. So no, God doesn’t have favorites. He has presence. He has timing. He has love that is exact, intentional, and deeply personal. And that, when you really understand it, is enough to stop comparing, stop doubting, and start believing that your own story is unfolding, beautifully and perfectly, for you. Those who feel “favoured” are not chosen over others; they are simply recipients of timing, opportunity, and grace that everyone has access to it just arrives differently, differently tailored, differently orchestrated, but for all. To be touched by grace or favour is not proof that life will be easy. It is proof that life can still be miraculous. That even in seasons of struggle, even in seasons of waiting, God’s fingerprints are on the story, gently shaping, quietly sustaining, and unmistakably loving.
