Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey says “extraordinary” Somalis need support.
“Right now they’re under attack, we got to make sure that we’re giving back to this extraordinary people that have given so much to our city in business and entrepreneurship.”

I have to wonder why the Mayor of a City, where 3-5% of its population is Somalian, spends such great energy pandering to that segment of his constituency? A vast majority of the Minnesota Somalian population lives in the Minneapolis area, with an 81% of them receiving some form of public assistance. The contribution to their city's economy is questionably significant.
Now look at downtown Minneapolis and compare it to what it was. I remember Gaviidae Common, Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Macy’s. Nicollet Mall during the holidays was spectacular, and the Holidazzle parades brought people downtown. In college, I could spend an evening shopping or going out without feeling unsafe.
In 20 years mass migration of people that are refusing to assimilate turned a beautiful safe city filled with people into a cesspool that has been nicked named Little Mogadishu.
