As my letter mentions, it has always been my hope that @OpenEdSS continues beyond me.
So while I may not be involved in the regular yearly planning and hosting moving forward, I'm always available to talk with any and all future organizers to provide advice and guidance.

After a lot of reflecting (& denial of the inevitable), I've decided to step away from leading and organizing @OpenEdSS.
I wrote a goodbye letter to everyone who has supported OESS over the years but it's really not adequate enough to express my love and gratitude for you all.

.@LibKristin: We should consider if a work can really be called “open” if the perspectives of marginalized learners are not included. Jasmine Roberts-Crews asks us to consider, “Whose stories get to be told, and who gets the privilege of telling those stories?” #OENSUMMIT22

.@LibKristin: @Meggiemapes: Address the assumption that open textbooks are created by uncompensated labor. Illustrating the difference in open vs. commercial publishing models shows that OER authors can be funded. #OENSummit22

🙌🎉
We’ve worked hard for 2 years to help faculty who want to use/create OER. We launched our digital press 2 weeks ago with 3 titles. Today Music Theory was added to OTN. More to come! @unaoer is a great team! #oer #RoarLions una.pressbooks.pub/ @OpenEd_Network

Was at a bar alone yesterday when the bartender said, “Hey, check out this text from my sister!” He showed me his phone and it said, “Do not, under any circumstances, get into a conversation with the guy sitting on your right.” Men, if you are in a position to do this, DO THIS.
