After a lot of reflecting (& denial of the inevitable), I've decided to step away from leading and organizing @OpenEdSS.
I wrote a goodbye letter to everyone who has supported OESS over the years but it's really not adequate enough to express my love and gratitude for you all.
As my letter mentions, it has always been my hope that @OpenEdSS continues beyond me.
So while I may not be involved in the regular yearly planning and hosting moving forward, I'm always available to talk with any and all future organizers to provide advice and guidance.
Poking my head out of my cave to say @UARKLibraries is looking for 2 librarians to join our Research & Instruction Dept!

Come say hi!
We're on a hiring palooza & I want awesome people to come join me at @UARKLibraries! We're moving in a really exciting & innovative direction under the leadership of Dean @jjbattles, who also just happens to be the embodiment of servant leadership.
We've also extended our Cataloging & Digital Projects Librarian search until 7/1/2023.
I'm a public service grunt through & through but our cataloging crew is some of the best on making really odd things accessible to our community.

I need @adebolafabiku & @icatalogthings to start their own YouTube/Podcast because I would subscribe immediately. Outstanding presentation that had me looking like Meryl Streep at the Oscars the whole time.
Up next: BIPOC Discussion Group; No longer stuck in the middle: how middle managers move DEI forward w/ @adebolafabiku @icatalogthings. Please note, Coaching Employee Performance Toward Success, Not Termination has been cancelled. #LibCALM calm2023.sched.com/
This 'Don't Retreat From Retreats!' session is so fantastic.
It's making me feel good about some of our recent retreats planning but is also giving me so many new ideas and practices as well.
Up next: Lightning Talks on Emotional Intelligence by Bagley, Keleher, Rapp, Bruner, @danibcook, & Sheley; Don't Retreat From Retreats! by @kimduckett @kaitlinmlk, & Davis; Getting Onboard w/ Onboarding-@AprilHathcock Bruce, Chiu, Mandani, & @ShawntaDeshawn #LibCALM
Don't forget @UARKLibraries is hiring! I've listed and linked to all of our currently open librarian job postings.
I'm the Search Chair for the #OER Librarian search and on the search committee of the Education Librarian.
Happy to talk & answer questions.
