Sam Altman is correct here, and that is why owning your own local PC hardware has never been more important. Centralization is beneficial and inevitable, but that is why it must be socialist and democratic.

The US trade embargo vs China during the famine was not just industrial goods, you liar. It included food & medicines. ALL US "allies" obeyed embargo, except Canada & Australia who sold grain to China in 61, after the worse of famine was over!
Because it’s not true or an over exaggerated misunderstanding. The US simply didn’t want allies to trade industrial goods. That’s it. The US expressed disapproval with a Canadian deal because it didn’t want to be apart of it. That’s it. Allies were free to send grain and they did

If I [Russian Deputy PM in this case] were to request something like this to a minister of a country and he goes out there hinting like this, I'll make sure to never bother him ever again regarding anything.
“I have a Deputy Prime Minister of one of the most powerful countries in the world who has been behind me because his daughter wants to work with Bollywood,” says Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal

In defense of BSP: their party supremo is chronically ill and bedridden way past her prime, and funding is dried as hell. They don't have a cadre, and the successor is as inept as possible. Functionally speaking, BSP barely exists at all.
Neha's "saviour" politics aside, it is true that BSP has given up on Dalits. The self-proclaimed Dalit liberation party has done barely anything to protect the interest of its constituents in the past 12 years. Some honest self-introspection would be better

Back to reading Hugh Wilford's The Mighty Wurlitzer and I am in the chapter on students. Gloria Steinem was director of a CIA funded org called the Independent Service for Information and her salary was $100 a week plus $5 per diem. Checking 1959 US Census records, the average for women working full-time year-round was $3200. A $5 per diem meant an additional $1825 annually, if I'm understanding thatvcorrectly, bringing her annual compensation to $7025, assuming that I'm mathing accurately. So she was making $3825 more annually than the average American woman (and I haven't even dug into comparisons to women outside the US, particularly interested in putting this side by side with figures from the Global South). Her annual income also exceeded average US family households by $1825. Bamboozling the public on behalf of capitalism's private army paid her well! census.gov/library/publicati… census.gov/library/publicati…

I can't believe slum dwellers get invited to US State Department programs these days. Were you also a chaiwala by any chance?
What Neha Bora must understand is that there is no need for us to “go to the slums”, “go to the protests” , because we actually live in the slums . We are from the slums . We are still connected to the slums and the epi centre of the protests is us ! The seed for the rebellion is our own lives ! Our Dalit lives! Unlike the Communist Savarnas who “visit” the slums for mobilising cadres for their protests and movements, we stay there. Live there . And we have First class experience in solving the issues . Unfortunately we do not get that limelight what media gives to these Savarnas like Neha . Politics is not different from our lives so that we chose to do something out of the ordinary like Neha and others . Our life itself is political. Our individual personal life is more political than any political party out there. It is not Neha but we Dalits who must be saying “ we know better than you “ , so stop appropriating our struggles in the name of communist politics. Your party is sustaining only because of us . If we say FO and show our middle finger to the left, your whole communist eco system will crumble.

Ah yes, i remember now. You were the one calling for international intervention, right? nitter.cf/TheBluePen25/status/18…
#India will not deal with its #caste problem. It never will. Unless caste is recognised as a global crisis,it will not be dealt with . To be precise, right now caste is practically a universal concept and international interventions are the best way towards caste annihilation.

Ukrainians don't consider any of these patches to be nazi symbols, Mike. Some might be controversial, but they aren’t forbidden by law in Ukraine. If he had Nazi swastika or portrait of Hilter, that would be another matter. And honestly, why would they give a fuck about personal views of the soldiers, as long as they don’t break the law? Elon does Nazi salutes in public and US government doesn’t care. Maybe, you should self reflect a little bit too?

This is, in fact very opposite of gatekeeping. This is you being allowed inside, but choosing not to get inside, and then accusing people who entered of gatekeeping just because they noticed your absence.
The audacity of privileged voices lecturing grassroots anti-caste movements on how, where, and when to struggle. Marginalized communities don’t need Savarna gatekeepers dictating the "correct" way to fight oppression. @neha_aisa

Your mortal sin: Not laying out red carpet for me. nitter.cf/Parapolity/status/2110…
Who the hell expects an invitation to a protest? Brother, this is a struggle, not an iftar party. Take initiative yourself.

The baseline of collective European diplomacy is the sensibility of a sociopathic (I mean this in the clinical sense) toddler: unable to imagine another's standpoint, unwilling to acknowledge it, offended that the world doesn't turn around them.

read "The Struggle for Modern Tibet" (1997) By Tashi Tsering, one of those enslaved boys. Monks took him as a "dancing boy", a great honor, and they also used him for sexual relief. It wasn't until he got education abroad that he joined the revolution and defected back to China
When I found out that slavery was basically legal in Tibet before the Chinese took over, I was shocked. The way the West romanticised the Dalai Lama and his ruling class, I never thought they could preside over slavery.

Always a delight to hear what these guys are upto
A #US court has ordered a #Virginia resident to remove his encroachment from land owned by the late Kanu Gandhi, Mahatma Gandhi’s grandson, and his wife Shiva Gandhi, after a 20-month legal battle led by Parimal Desai from Surat The dispute involved 30 acres of land adjoining Shenandoah National Park in Warren County, Virginia, which the Gandhi couple bought in 1987. During their final years in South Gujarat, they created a charitable trust and transferred their assets to it. Desai now serves as managing trustee. Fuck surat, fuck it's diamond merchants. I hope chinese keep flooding the market with their cheap artificial alternatives and destroy these parasites.
Three years ago, PM Modi inaugurated the 3,200-crore Surat Diamond Bourse, calling it “the best diamond in the world” and an example of “Modi’s guarantee” for Surat. Today, the “world’s biggest office space in a single project” is a largely empty shell. indianexpress.com/article/ex…
