“Do you still believe in the independence of the football regulator? Because at seven, it's marginal, right”
Well said Prime Minister. Everyone I have ever met at @ManCity over years has been resolute about these charges. IF the club is guilty and is found to be so we will all still support the club we supported before the purchase.... today has been a hard day for City partly as the leak has been calculated to make it so. The silence from Etihad and PL may be far more significant than the leak. I hear no sign of panic in Manchester.
They’ve just selected the KC who will oversee the appeal.
Murray Rosen KC, a member of Arsenal FC, selected the three-person independent Commission that heard Manchester City’s case.
Given the magnitude of these proceedings, #ManCity have every right to scrutinise the panel and question whether the process meets the highest standards of independence and impartiality.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Murray Rosen KC was appointed Chair of the PL Judicial Panel by member clubs including Man City in 2020. He selects commissions under the rules. City later unsuccessfully challenged his role over Arsenal membership.
