Our manuscript describing our second new bioactivated nematicide is now posted on BioRxiv. Great work by my PhD student Jessica Knox and the rest of our team! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
Roy Lab post-doc Andrew Burns rocking the @P450Copenhagen meeting with a fantastic talk on his new #Selectivin nematicide. Congrats Andrew! See nature.com/articles/s41586-0… for details.
Such a fantastic meeting @P450Copenhagen. A crash course on amazing P450 capabilities, fantastic new colleagues, and all in amazing city #Copenhagen. Thank you organizers!!!
Had a great chat with @SSerenaDing this morning and learned about her innovative studies on worm communal behaviours- some super cool art that has come out of her lab as well- check it out!
A truly beautiful piece on @DaniPerezBio's recent @AvHStiftung fellowship 🏅to study worm towers with me @MPI_animalbehav. Worms tower, worms rock! We'll be at #Worm23 in Glasgow with this work in June, come meet us and see some fun videos! 🪱ab.mpg.de/532747/an-eye-for-…
My institute @DonnellyCentre at the heart of Canada's research district in Toronto is offering a #PDF #fellowship for new recruits to any of its labs. If you are interested in joining me on an impactful new pharmacogenomics project, DM with your CV. See: thedonnellycentre.utoronto.c…
Super cool biology awaits!
The 2023 Grass lab is up and running! One of the first organisms we set up were the ctenophores. These iridescent creatures are one of the first animals that ever evolved and likely resemble what ancient animals used to look like... @MBLScience @grassfoundation
Hey Toronto Peeps- can anyone recommend a driving school for teenagers? There are a lot of driving schools out there, and just want to hear about some positive experiences. Thanks in advance!
Super cool Andy!!!
Ever wondered if you could read 100s of metabolites and drugs in parallel using a @illumina or a @10X platform? But metabolites aren’t nucleic acids — how can that work? Check out our new preprint and read on for a thread:

@wbderry Rockin’ Tom Waits at Grossman’s last night with the boys from The Kensington Shake. He blew the roof off of it! Good times.
Great party at the #Donnelly retreat last night at Queens Landing!
Holy Cow! #Science featured our #Nature paper in their News section! Very cool! Thank you @erikstokstad for the engaging piece. Check it out here: tinyurl.com/wv89rdb2
Today we publish our work in #Nature on a selective nematicide that we discovered (Selectivin). rdcu.be/dcUoZ The nematicide achieves selectivity via #cytochrome P450-mediated bioactivation. A tour de force by my post-doc Andrew Burns and an amazing collaborative team.
