“The road that matters to every Lagosian is the roaf in front of their house. ➡️ I will work with the local governments, LCDAs, and the Lagos State Public Works Corporation to ensure that we effectively fix all our inner roads. ➡️ I am going to reconstruct major roads serving different parts of Lagos, such as the Mushin-Itire Road, Agelesho-Erekiti Road in Badagry, Alaba International Road, Ijede Road in Ikorodu, and many others. ➡️ I am going to complete the Lekki Regional Road and commence Phase Two of the Opebi Link Bridge, which will connect to the Second Axial Road. ➡️ I am going to increase the number of BRT buses from 1,000 to 4,000. ➡️ I am also going to commence the 4th Mainland bridge through a PPP arrangement. ➡️ I am going to complete the Blue Line and Red Line interchange station. ➡️I will work with the Federal Government to deliver the Green Line from Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone. ➡️ I am also going to upgrade the waterways by building new ferry terminals to ensure that the waterways serve as a third highway.” — Current Deputy Governor and 2027 APC governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat details during his manifesto launch today. The manifesto serves as a roadmap outlining the projects his administration intends to deliver over the next four years. It will be shared with Lagosians so they can examine the proposals and hold him accountable for their implementation.

Built in Nigeria. Ready for the world. Today, I want to celebrate @milsat_africa, founded by Taslim Saluadeen and Adedamola Baderinwa, the Nigerian company behind the technology powering our new National Digital Postcode. From delivering a pilot in 2023 to building a national system, Milsat demonstrates the depth of Nigerian technical capability and our ability to create infrastructure that improves public services, supports businesses and opens up economic opportunities. Their work extends beyond postcode. Milsat supported the National Population Commission’s mapping of more than 65 million properties in preparation for Nigeria’s first digital census, and has deployed enumeration area demarcation technology in Sierra Leone. This is the ambition I want us to nurture: Nigerian companies building solutions for our needs, proving their capabilities at home and taking that expertise to the world. With appreciation to @NipostNgn, Meeds Network Limited and the National Population Commission for their roles in this journey, today’s spotlight belongs to the Milsat team. I look forward to seeing you help many more countries turn location and field data into better services for their people. #NigerianExcellence

We have taken another significant step towards unlocking the economic potential of Ogun State with the signing of Memoranda of Understanding with DP World MEA FZE for the development of the Gateway Deep Sea Port and the Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone. The projects, witnessed by our President, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in Paris, France, are expected to attract more than $7 billion in initial investment and create over 50,000 direct jobs, while opening new opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, maritime services, exports and other sectors. The Gateway Deep Sea Port in Ogun Waterside will be integrated with a proposed 10,000-hectare Blue Marine Special Economic Zone and connected to other strategic infrastructure, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and our Gateway International Airport. For us, this is about much more than building a port. We are creating an integrated economic corridor capable of connecting Ogun State’s productive capacity to markets across Africa and the rest of the world. We appreciate President Tinubu for the leadership and federal support that have helped move this long-standing vision closer to reality. We equally commend the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, the Nigerian Ports Authority and all our partners for their commitment. Under our Building Our Future Together agenda, we remain committed to attracting investments, creating jobs and positioning Ogun State as a leading industrial, logistics and investment destination.

BREAKING🚨: Governor @DapoAbiodunCON has signed a $7billion MoU with global port giant DP World MEA FZE for the development of the Gateway Deep Sea Port and the 10,000 hectare Ogun State Blue Marine Special Economic Zone. 🌊🚢 The signing was witnessed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR @officialABAT in Paris, France. About the Gateway Deep Sea Port & Blue Marine SEZ: — Over $7 billion in initial investment is expected to come into the project. — DP World MEA FZE, one of the world's biggest port and logistics operators and the No. 1 port operator globally by revenue in 2025, is the strategic partner for the project. — The Gateway Deep Sea Port will be located in Ogun Waterside, along the Ogun State stretch of the Lagos—Calabar Coastal Highway. — The Ogun section of the coastal highway provides 28km of strategic access to the port, connecting it to the hinterland, reducing logistics costs and helping decongest Lagos. — The port is projected to have an 18 metre draft and a 4km berth, making it capable of handling some of the largest vessels in the world. — Upon completion, it is projected to be among the deepest and longest ports in Africa. — The port will be integrated with a 10,000 hectare Blue Marine Special Economic Zone, creating an ecosystem for manufacturing, logistics, maritime services, technology and exports. — The project is expected to create over 50,000 direct jobs, with many more indirect jobs, while stimulating SMEs and expanding supply chains. — It will strengthen Nigeria's export capacity, attract foreign direct investment and create opportunities across manufacturing, logistics, maritime services and other sectors. — The project will form part of Ogun's emerging multimodal infrastructure network, connecting the Deep Sea Port to the Gateway International Airport, dry ports, the Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway and other road infrastructure. For Ogun East, Ogun State and the wider National Economy, this creates a new maritime and industrial corridor around Ogun Waterside. This is a major infrastructure project with implications far beyond the port itself. Vision + Infrastructure + Investment = Economic Growth. 🌊🚢 This is LEGACY.

Why Removing the Reform-minded Tunji Alausa Will Not Help Our Education Sector! I have observed with deep concern the agitations by some staff of the Federal Ministry of Education today calling for the removal of the Minister of Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa. I have met the Minister only once briefly in my entire life, but from my objective assessment of this administration's cabinet, I consider him to be among the top three ministers in terms of vision, impact and execution. The evidence of his stewardship is verifiable. Through the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative, NESRI, the Minister has restored focus and transparency to the sector. His most defining reform is the bold shift from certificate to skills. By repositioning Technical and Vocational Education and Training, TVET, as central to national productivity, he has enrolled over 150,000 trainees in more than 1,600 centres, introduced biometric verification to ensure transparency in funding, and expanded training into Artificial Intelligence, robotics, renewable energy and cybersecurity. The unveiling of the Digital Academy. These reforms earned him the recognition as TVET Champion of the Year. He has also championed digital reforms that tackle age-long problems. These include the automation of result collection and transcript processes to curb fraud and delays, the launch of the School Safety Portal with the NSCDC for real-time monitoring of schools, the raising of textbook quality standards, the restoration of History as a core subject, and the facilitation of Transnational Education partnerships. In addition, he has placed teachers at the centre of reform through the National Teacher Summit, the Edurevamp professional development platform, the extension of retirement age to 65, and the commitment to pay TRCN licensing fees for public school teachers. I do not have the details of the demands of the workers but the general statement made by the workers, and I do not speak for the Ministry. However, in my humble opinion, many of the issues being raised are beyond the powers of the Minister alone. Matters of welfare, promotions and funding often require inter-ministerial approvals, Head of Service of the Federation and fiscal processes that take time. The staff of the Ministry are patriotic Nigerians and the engine room of these reforms. Their frustrations must be heard with empathy. That is why I offer my sincere apology to any worker who feels aggrieved or unheard. Your labour is the foundation upon which the future of our children is built. Calling for the removal of a reform-minded Minister, who is among the best in the administration will not solve systemic challenges; it will only truncate the momentum that has been built. Resolution must be genuine reconciliation. I appeal for dialogue over discord, and for a roundtable between the leadership of the Ministry, through the Permanent Secretary and staff unions to address legitimate concerns amicably. We need the Minister and we need the staff, working together for the good of Nigeria. May Allah guide us to what is best for our education sector and our beloved country, Nigeria. By Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON (Professor of Cybersecurity) Minister of Communications and Digital Economy of Nigeria (2019-2023). 16/09/2026G

10 TAKEAWAYS FROM DANGOTE'S REFINERY IPO SIGNING CEREMONY 1. The signing happened today, Monday, September 7, 2026, in Lagos, a key formal step toward Africa's biggest-ever share sale. 2. The offer: 4.1 billion ordinary shares at ₦525 per share. 3. Target raise: just over ₦2 trillion (roughly $1.6 billion). 4. The minimum subscription is just 10 shares, about ₦5,250, deliberately low. 5. Dangote called it "the IPO for the people." 6. In his words, he wants "drivers, our cooks, our servants, our managers, and everybody" to have a real shot at owning a stake. 7. The offering is also positioned as a savings vehicle, a way for ordinary subscribers to build future savings through the investment. 8. The IPO opens September 14 and closes October 13. 9. At the offer price, the company is valued at roughly $49 billion. 10. This follows a private placement that closed 3.7x oversubscribed at a $2.5 billion raise, signalling strong institutional appetite ahead of the retail offer. Not financial advice. Elon Musk says Tesla will sell a Cybercab to a customer for under 30,000 dollars before 2027. A chartered financial analyst built the model for what one would actually earn you. On Herbert Ong's channel, Soren Basher gave 8 things worth knowing: 1. Fourteen thousand in the worst case
Elon Musk explains how Tesla owners will make money from its Cybercab fleet: “For the fleet that is owned by our customers, it’ll be like an Airbnb thing. You can add or subtract your car to the fleet whenever you want. You can say, ‘I’m going away for a week.’ Just one tap on your Tesla app, your car gets added to the fleet, and it just makes money for you while you’re gone. You can add it to the fleet for a few hours, a few days, or a few weeks. Whenever you want it back, you can say, ‘Come back,’ and the car will come right back. I’m highly confident that the revenue made by the owner of the car will far exceed the actual monthly payment.”
