God love the nineties 😂
We all went round our chemistry teacher, Mr Cowley, for drunken parties. Our PE teacher, Mr Moore, was openly racist. The coolest teacher was Mr Foster, he liked The Jam and Joy Division, he dated the best looking girl in the 6th form. Different times

Number crunching…. When you have a dairy capable of processing 9m pints of milk a year…. Paying 7ppl less for milk ex farm is worth nearly £100,000 per DAY to the processor. £2.8-3m a month ripped out of supplier farm businesses and the rural economy!😡🐄

What is the point of Prime Ministers questions if the PM (or deputy) doesn’t actually answer any of the questions? I’m sure this has been asked before but it seemed more relevant than ever today 🤨

I have written about the decline in hedgehogs. There's a huge amount of evidence that badgers are the cause. This thread spells out that evidence.🧵 Something is plainly going wrong for hedgehogs in farms, woods, gardens and parks despite a general improvement in the management of these habitats. Farmers leave more uncut grass and shrubs; gardeners leave more leaf piles, foresters are planting more native trees. Yet still the prickly beasts get rarer and rarer...

Absolutely correct. Being told I’m not a worker by someone who’s never had a proper job is a fucking joke
As someone who has never had work experience outside of politics, or as a lobbyist, the current Chief Secretary to the Treasury is really not in a position to comment on what is, or is not, a working person. Genuinely think these people hate us. All of us.

Is it any wonder that retail butter sales are not shifting the surplus when 200g is priced at £2.50-£300 vs wholesale price of 66p per 200g - no wonder cream values are low. Retail is taking all the margin….again! @NFU_Dairy

Nothing against @WildlifeTrusts but there are loads of private landowners throughout the country who have already delivered nature recovery and sustainable farming on a massive scale. The idea that Rothbury is some unique project and a “new bar” is just nonsense.
Tens of thousand of people have enabled the @WildlifeTrusts to buy the Rothbury Estate. Largest land purchase in a generation brings an area of Northumberland the size of Athens into Nature recovery. Brilliant & bold work that sets a new bar for ambition for Nature in England. wildlifetrusts.org/news/futu…

Idiots like this don’t realise if you make life too difficult for the enterprising, driven, hardworking members of our society then the whole fucking house falls down. Dumb as fuck
Sell one of your properties from your portfolio mate. Theres your fucking breathing space.

I thought they didn’t have any money? 🤷🏻‍♂️
Delighted to confirm this Government has stepped in to secure the future of The Rothbury Estate as part of the campaign to protect it for future generations. This will be one of the biggest ever land purchases for nature in England👇

Badger is the principle predator of hedgehogs. There is scientific consensus on this and this kind of misinformation is just as unhelpful as claims they're solely responsible for hedgehog declines. nature.com/articles/s41598-0…

This tidiness trope needs to stop, @BenGoldsmith because it distracts from the real reasons why hedgehogs are disappearing. Weather extremes are affecting their food supply (this year no slugs and worms gone deep due to drought). More on this later..1/9 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cly5…
Go for a walk on almost any farm in Britain and ask yourself where a hedgehog might find food, water or shelter there. The rough edges, pockets of scrub, areas of unkempt long grass, piles of dead wood, marshy wet areas and ponds, all tidied away. There’s nowhere left for them.

The guys no idiot, he’s the biggest wind up merchant in our midst. He also knows his level of influence powers on despite completely ignoring the truth and spouting nonsense. Try and ignore him

Sunoak Paxton When you’ve got great stock bulls that are easily handable, easy calving but great growth figures. Golden 🤩 🐮

Spot on.. it’s a lazy rhetoric that is out of date. Most of us haven’t got the resources to be tidy anymore, and there’s much greater understanding of the need for habitat
Replying to @fionaharvey
I think you might be about a decade too late or 5 years too early with this criticism. Government policy leads to tidy farms. Look at the desire there was for SFI, gone in 6 hours! Farmers will do whats asked of them but they need to be supported

An absolute unit who somehow managed to fit an entire dairy farm into his daily diet.
