I was at this symposium, which was held at Korea University 24-28 July, and can add a bit of information.
The first arXiv preprint came to light during the conference. One of the attendees, a KU professor, knew Kwon just well enough to be able to call him.

Fascinating paper that attempts to quantify privilege experienced by white, able-bodied, heterosexual men (WAHM) in STEM. In each of 6 areas, they were the most privileged, and >>50% of the privilege was unexplained by any factors other than being WAHM.

The facts:
@JimBethell had a meeting with Randox and Owen Paterson. Randox was awarded over £500m in contracts without a tender. Lord Bethell discussed the awarding of contracts on WhatsApp and then deleted the WhatsApps so we can't know what he said.

We are deeply sympathetic to all students affected by this change in policy in relation to A level awarded grades.
If, following the Government announcement, applicants’ revised grades mean that they meet the terms of their original offer, we will guarantee them a place.

The very fact that some parents are so ill-informed as to believe children may become gay by being told about gay relationships is a demonstration in itself that parents do not know best. Educating children is not the problem. Educating the parents is the real challenge.
