[WATCH] - Massachusetts Question 8: Broken Lizard Says "Just Say No" Do you know what’s on your ballot? A “No” vote on Question 8 keeps the state’s legal, regulated system for adult-use in place. A “Yes” vote would end legal adult-use sales and push that market back toward the illicit sector, where there are no product safety standards, no age checks, and also the potential for an increase in penalties once again. The coalition who made this public service announcement and the Broken Lizard comedy troupe simply ask that you read the question carefully before you vote.

The '#WarOnDrugs' has failed…but at what? As drug markets thrive, punitive #DrugPolicy helps justify the expansion of rights-curtailing police powers, surveillance & institutional arrangements that feed private profit. We bring these conversations to #MozFest2026. Come say hi!

The DEA has said the quiet part loudly… We have seen a significant shift in attitudes and narratives. Law Enforcement Action Partnership has historically been a place where police voices can speak freely on dr*g policy and the many issues… Now the DEA acknowledges on record that the majority of people can use cann*bis without significant dangers to themselves and others.

Home at last! Good news stories such as this are heartening. But let’s never forget that situations like this should never have happened. Well done Last Prisoner Project for their continued work.
Welcome home, Kelly 💚 After nearly two years incarcerated in Georgia for a nonviolent cannabis charge, Kelly Barbieri and her husband, Daniel, are finally home. While inside, they endured the devastating loss of their eldest son. They were able to attend his memorial. With support from this community, Kelly received reentry support and family assistance from Last Prisoner Project, along with letters that reminded her she wasn’t alone. “Thank you so much for supporting us throughout this terrible ordeal… It made such a difference knowing I’d have reentry support, and the family grant for my son meant so much while I was incarcerated. The letters made such a difference. It’s so nice to hear your name during mail call… Georgia is very harsh on cannabis offenders, but the letters and prison newsletters helped keep my faith in humanity. I hope one day people won’t be put in cages for the plants they grow.” Kelly, we’re so glad you’re home. You can read about Kelly's story on our blog. Also, please consider donating to Last Prisoner Project so that we can continue to provide support for families like Kelly's. lastprisonerproject.org/nobo…

Every life matters. As the U.S. remembers the 70,000 people who lost their lives due to overdose last year, we also think of the families who now have an empty chair at the dinner table, the children who will have lost parents, and the many people who will have seen the streets due to addiction and homelessness. Addiction and overdose can touch us all. We need to move forward with potentially life-saving strategies and polices which can make a lasting difference. Today is International Overdose Awareness Day, but let's not allow one day to mark this issue. Let's make every day count. #Overdose #OverdoseAwareness #OverdoseAwarenessDay #InternationalOverdoseAwarenessDay
