Ironic that avocados are dropping at the the same time as rapid house price falls. Does that mean we can have avo on toast AND a house?

And in nsw they get turned back into normal rentals after 15 years.
So-called "affordable" housing is a rare kind of bad policy: one that only gets worse the more you look at it. Per the Auditor-General: in Victoria, we are somehow spending more Commonwealth money on average per "affordable" dwelling, than per social dwelling.

So wouldn’t this be good for inflation?
ICYMI RBA research shows falling house prices lead to lower household spending and employment. Yet is it largely downplaying its own findings as the house price falls get close to the danger zone

Quick breakdown since upgrading from my diesel 2009 ford ranger to the EV Misso as a work truck (still waiting for the canopy from Korea though) My old Ranger used to use $15/100km so at $3/L that’s $45 per 100km My Musso uses 23kwh per 100km and at home charging I pay 30c/kwh so roughly $7/100km So it costs 1/7th of the Ranger to run, I also get free servicing for 3 years (even though there’s bugger all to actually service) AND fir long term use there’s less than 1/5th of the Rangers moving parts across the car. It’s literally better in every way and this is just the first model just wait 5 years. Anyone that doesn’t thing EV’s are the future doesn’t understand the engineering or maths behind them

Imagine nervously bidding at an auction with your wife for a house to raise a family in after saving for a decade and some cunt rorting the taxpayer and disabled people outbids you to buy his 38th house. I recon this would be the tip of the iceberg

Clennell is genuinely one of Australia’s best journalists. No idea who he would vote for and I like that
Whoa, Fireworks on Credlin tonight "You are not going to hijack my show (Andrew Clennell) at the top when I said I would get to this." Peta Credlin Watch👇🍿 #IStandwithPetaCredlin Clennell v Credlin

I torture myself because there’s hundreds of thousands of people essentially defrauding the migration system in Australia which is driving up rents and leading to the rise of one nation where legitimate concerns from everyday people are brushed off. Then the media elite and the political class say anyone that questions the system is racist. We’ve been gaslit for years and it’s infuriating. If Labor had done the policy’s they’re finally implanting now in 2022 rents would be a lot lower and one nation wouldn’t be polling at 30%
Replying to @Potstirrer111
Why do you torture yourself like this? I’d bet at least half of these types of posts are from people just trolling people like you. Fish in a barrel.

Ahh yes Abul she just by chance happened to change her course to childcare which has a very good pathway to PR. It’s funny how the guardian and Abul gloss over that and as a proper journalist prod a bit more and ask her why she changed because I can tell you the answer. After a few months she realised her current course wouldn’t get her PR so she visa hopped to one that would and now she’s got the shits the government closed the loophole and she has to go offshore and convince home affairs why she changed courses. Great fucking policy. Well done Labor

This is the exact reason I hate these buyers agents cunts you see all over social media. Buying the very few Australian rentals where the rent is cheap. Pump all the rents up and squeeze the poor fucking tenants in a rental crisis so the value of the block goes up then pull out equity to do it all over again. Need to flip the script on these cunts which it looks like Labor finally is by cutting immigration so vacancy rates climb over 3% Then when that happens the tenant can say fuck you im out and the rental will sit empty while the investor bleeds cash. And the best but with the budget tax changes if it does sit empty there’s no negative gearing so the losses aren’t tax deductible!

My coffee shop already uses recyclable cups and have for years. Good policy
Small business owners have pleaded with Premier Chris Minns to intervene over new coffee cup laws – even as his own Environment Minister struggled to explain how they would work. ▶️ bit.ly/4ilF5Vw We launched a faster, redesigned app - with all new puzzles: bit.ly/3RceccM

inner city woke lefty’s are at a weird position currently where they like their low/mid density neighbourhood in Newtown ect and don’t want high rise and new development to support our rapidly increasing immigration rates….but they also don’t want to reduce immigration. They’re going to have to pick their poison at some stage
Amazing how NIMBYs are never against more housing... they just want it somewhere else smh.com.au/national/nsw/a-sy…

Deeply concerning when you see a property in Clovelly with no parking and a hills hoist in the backyard only sell for $5.2m. We must bring back negative gearing.

So apparently what’s going on according to people from Auscorp on Reddit is they’re freaking out in offshore call centres in India ect about AI agents taking their jobs so they’re offering Aus big business extremely cheap long term contracts to lock them in before AI replaces them, So naturally the big banks are taking that offer and sacking all the Aus staff then in 3 years when their Indian contracts run out they’ll sack them too and use AI lol
