The issue is that it's not an isolated incident.
Everywhere I go in train, people with unreserved tickets are there in the reservation compartments.
Train number 22626 is just an example.

Considering Rs 7 going to the farmers directly, it seems okay.
But instead, they could've increased one or 2 rupees every year to make it normalised. The high jump in price makes it look very bad (which kinda is, but not too bad).
