Technology is most useful when it makes care easier, safer, and more effective for the people who rely on us.
Proud to see @UofUHealth earn Level 10 status—the highest level—in @CIOCHIME’s 2026 Digital Health Most Wired program for acute and ambulatory care. This reflects years of thoughtful work across our system to make better use of technology while keeping security and patient needs front of mind.
Congratulations to Donna Roach, MS, and all the teams behind this recognition!

25 years ago, @TheMUSS was a nearly empty block of bleachers. Now when they jump on third downs, the stadium shakes.
Read about the history and traditions of the MUSS in University of Utah Magazine. #GoUtes

There are angels on this earth—and yesterday, one of them went home. It is possible to make the case that Pamela Atkinson has had a bigger impact and done more good than anyone in Utah over the past 30 years. She was more than an advisor and confidant, she was a friend. She treated me the exact same way she treated her homeless friends—with love and respect. Although it’s impossible to capture the magnitude of her reach and influence, I hope you will take time to read this incredible profile by Lois Collins. Pamela’s legacy will live on for generations to come. We miss you dear friend.

Pamela Atkinson lifted Utah through a lifetime of compassion and service. Abby and I were blessed to call her our friend.
She devoted her life to serving others, especially those too often forgotten — showing us what it means to really care for our neighbors. We will miss her friendship, her wisdom and her remarkable example.
We love you, dear friend.

Since my first days in the state senate, Pamela has been an example to me of loving your neighbor unconditionally. Our state is a better place because of her influence for good. This is a sad loss, but I know her spirit lives on, as will her work.

A big milestone this week in West Valley: the final beam for the future on @UofUHealth’s first off-campus hospital and health campus was raised!
Before the last beam was put in place, West Valley community members joined U of U Health and @UUtah teams in signing it. Their names are now forever part of a building they’ve helped shape from the beginning.
We still have work ahead before the building opens, but it was exciting to see how far we’ve come. Grateful to the Eccles family, George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation, @uofupresident Taylor Randall, Dr. Michael Good, community partners, U of U Board of Trustees, and numerous U of U Health leaders and teams who helped us reach this point.

Incredible! Congratulations to @BobCarterMD and the @UofUHealth team. This is impact!
Another strong year for @UofUHealth in @VizientInc’s national quality rankings!
We ranked #8 among comprehensive academic medical centers and #5 nationally for ambulatory care quality. That makes 17 years straight in the top tier for our academic medical center performance.
That kind of consistency comes from people who care deeply about patients and keep looking for ways to do better by them. Congratulations to our entire team!

It’s been exciting to watch the new @uofumedicine building go from plans on a page to a place full of students, faculty, and staff.
In this #GoodNotes conversation, architects Mehrdad Yazdani, MArch, and Celestia Carson, MArch, share the thinking behind a building designed to bring people together and connect with the broader health sciences campus.
Looking forward to seeing how our med school community makes this new home their own.
