Just in time for #WesternWednesday! I think the best movie bad guy is evil gunslinger "Frank" from "Once Upon a Time in the West" played by #HenryFonda. It's the best against-type casting ever; Fonda went from playing Tom Joad in The Grapes of Wrath to this sick bastard!

The reason that #FakeNewsMedia gets applied to #CNN is bc of editorial choices: +Ignoring key topics +Reporting "first" without facts +Sharing unconfirmed audio/video +Covering a topic for hours or days using politicized "experts" adding nothing new but stirring up controversy nitter.cf/ap4pa/status/101048463…
I should also note that CNN has plenty of great people trying to do the right thing. I suspect editorial bias at CNN is driven more by a desire to be entertaining (ratings focused for ad sales) than any deliberate bias. nitter.cf/ap4pa/status/101048388…

And there is the point of the law: it forces people to buy new machines. The downsides for the #environment are the resources used in making those machines plus the #recycling and other costs associated with getting rid of the old ones. nitter.cf/PriceAP/status/1005132…
It's worth noting the flaw in the premise of the article. An old washing machine uses 40 gallons of water per wash. A newer high efficiency model uses as little as 5 gallons. nitter.cf/ap4pa/status/100507070…

Yes, too many people ass-ume. I worked at a place recently for years and I can honestly say most people never asked and mainly assumed. Makes for a toxic work environment, because you have to deal w/unspoken perceptions. Almost nothing was truthful.

It is a #skill and the article points out one should ASK: check your hypothesis and put your perception to practice. Without those steps, you are just assuming!
