Tariffs are taxes that make life more expensive for every American. Congress should roll them back immediately. #PrinciplesFirst
Tariffs from the Trump administration will increase taxes by an average of $820 per US household in 2026, according to our estimates.

Lots of wisdom here. Groups like @our_republican_ and @Principles_1st, based around timeless principles and ideas can help steer the conversation in the right direction over the next two years. Question is, who will have the guts to run and stand up to a fatally wounded MAGA?
Republicans lost big. Now they have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Read my full @MSNOWNews column to learn more: ms.now/opinion/republican-mi…

💯
To my fellow Never Trump Republicans, this is our moment of vindication. Rather than spend our time and energy dancing on the grave of Trumpism, let us work together towards rebuilding a once great political party that stands for limited government, separation of powers, and that extends a welcoming hand to those who yearn to live the American Dream. #PrinciplesFirst

Should give us lots to talk about at the @Principles_1st summit in 2027.
This is the kind of night that changes the direction of the country and forces an entire party to completely reevaluate itself if it wants to survive.

Cassidy Hutchinson showed tremendous courage when she testified about January 6. Trump has spent years trying to punish her for telling the truth. I’m thrilled to see a grand jury refuse to go along with his vindictive revenge campaign.

There is no stupid fight that Trump 2.0 won't pick. Hutchinson spoke at our Principles First Summit a few years back and was very poised. It was also clear that all the drama had taken a personal toll too, sadly
A good outcome for the administration on this is a very quick dismissal. A bad outcome is non-stop discovery. They really, really don't want that. There is no good outcome for the administration on this. This is petty, stupid vindictiveness all the way down.

The free market knows better than the federal government what bonds are worth.
Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said the free market is mispricing long-term bond yields. So he wants to use the superior judgment and power of central government planners to correct the mistakes of capitalism. Good thing we didn't elect a Democratic Socialist president.

Democracy isn’t inherited. It’s renewed by every generation. As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we’re committed to strengthening the institutions, communities, and civic culture that will carry us into the next 250. Happy Fourth of July!

You don’t have to like every state’s election laws. But if a state adopts them lawfully, courts shouldn’t rewrite them. Today’s Supreme Court decision reaffirmed a basic constitutional principle: states have the authority to administer elections under their own laws. That’s federalism. That’s limited government.
