Shield is live.
Built on @AleoHQ by @ProvableHQ, Shield is a self-custodial wallet for holding and moving crypto without exposing balances, counterparties, or transaction details by default.
What’s yours is yours.

Opt-in privacy doesn't work.
If only 2% of users are private, those 2% stand out. The only privacy that protects anyone is privacy everyone has by default.
On @ShieldFi, privacy is the starting point, not a setting.
Tracking links are nothing new. They’re just one of many ways companies monitor and monetize your online activity.
Another reason why people need greater control over their digital privacy.
Shield Wallet MCP is live, so your AI agent can now use Shield the way you do, right down to swapping and shielding your funds.
It works from your shielded balance, using the permissions you choose inside Shield.
Update the extension to try it today!

Some of the newest onchain market making runs on closed-source code. You can’t check how your quote was built or why one was picked over another, yet every trade you make is tied to your address on a public ledger for anyone to study.
On @ShieldFi, visibility runs the other way. Pool state is public, so anyone can check how a quote was built, while your wallet address and balance stay confidential.
Shield Wallet holds the confidential side, and Shield Swap keeps the market side open to check.

On @brave's podcast, @1HowardWu described Shield as "the Signal for crypto."
The comparison holds where it matters. Once you shield your balance, what you hold and who you pay stay between you and the people you're paying.
Messaging has worked this way for years, and it's time money did too.

Howard Wu (@1HowardWu), founder of @AleoHQ and CEO of Provable and Shield Wallet, argues that the biggest obstacle to private stablecoins isn't the technology. Instead, it’s the assumption that compliance and privacy are fundamentally at odds.
Check out this full episode of #TheBraveTechnologist podcast, hosted by @LukeMulks, to learn how zero-knowledge proofs enable compliance without traditional KYC data collection.

Privacy often gets framed as having something to hide. In practice, it's how most financial life already works: your employer doesn't publish your salary, and your bank doesn't post your balance for strangers to read.
Shield brings that same expectation onchain, and you decide what stays private and what you share.

Onchain market makers can now take into account who is on the other side of a trade. Your wallet's history and the route your order took can both shape the quote you receive.
On @ShieldFi, there's no track record for a quote to be built around.
Welcome to the era of confidential finance.
Where your identity, portfolio, and trading strategies belong to you. Where the blockchain protects your privacy, and gives you comfort knowing your trades are fair & safe. Onchain finance is now protected finance.
That’s Shield Swap.

Trading confidentially used to mean leaving your wallet to do it.
Confidential swaps on @ShieldFi now run inside Shield. Your assets, your privacy, and a confidential venue in the same place, with no handoff in between.

Informed traders are supposed to need anonymity. The whole idea is that they make money by blending in with everyone else.
A new paper looked at what happens on a public exchange where they cannot blend in, covering 147,000 wallets and $84 billion in trading volume.
The second thing is that this knowledge is worth money. Watching what those top wallets were doing made short-term price prediction roughly 13% more accurate than models built only on prices and order flow.
The advantage was even larger at the exact moments trades went through.
A public address is a track record. Anyone patient enough to study yours can use it to work out what you are likely to do next, then trade ahead of you.
@ShieldFi was built so a trader's identity never becomes part of that dataset.
