Renewable Ernergy...."When Africa powers Africa"
This is indeed a very good initiative. We are focusing on creating resilience, sustainability & equitable food systems, and increasing productivity.
Day Two of the Africa Energy Expo is underway!
Today, we spotlight the Power for Food Partnership (P4FP), a five-year initiative funded by the IKEA Foundation. The project strengthens the link between Regenerative Agriculture and the Productive Use of Renewable Energy to boost Rwanda’s agri-food systems.
Operating across Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya & Ethiopia, P4FP promotes solar irrigation, biodigesters, cold chain tech, solar drying & agro-processing. In Rwanda, it is coordinated by SNV with key partners to empower farmers, advance gender inclusion & drive resilient, low-carbon food systems.

Today in @GatsiboDistrict, we initiated the next phase of UNDP’s hydroponics & home biogas programme & assessed readiness of Milk Collection Centres & households.
🔥 400 households to receive home biogas
🌱 10 MCCs to get hydroponics, 3 in Gatsibo
✅ 98% success from biogas pilots in Ngoma & Rwamagana
✅ Hydroponics proved viable at Rwimbogo MCC—now scaling!
