One of these days I’m going to write up a thread on here about Thrall, cuz thinking about how mishandled and how much they’ve failed to deliver on his character deeply upsets me and is sorta the root of alot that’s gone wrong with the way the Horde has persisted as a fantasy.

Doomfist is so fucking cool, man.
Two leaders. One Talon. No turning back. πŸ’₯ After a year of shifting loyalties, ruthless ambition, and a battle for control, Vendetta and Doomfist finally settle their differences in our newest cinematic, β€˜In the Wolf's Mouth’ βš”οΈ

Was this an anticlimactic ending to a year long storyline? Yes Was Vendetta beaten way too easily? Yes Was Overwatch portrayed as surprisingly incompetent and getting their shit pushed and constantly needed help from their enemies? Yes But my god Doomfist really is just THAT guy

The only recurring theme this expansion is that Black/Brown Men deserve to die in the view of Blizzard devs, for the sin of being too radical
I just clocked this... ZUL'JAN sees an ELF jump infront of him to save him......and its never brought up again and has ZERO impact on his story. Liadrin/jarra is a bad dynamic because neither has to sacrifice or change or is challenged by their "friendship" And this was there?

Imagine if, instead, the scene was Salandria jumping in front of an enraged Liadrin whom Zul'jan was taunting over Zul'jin's torture of her and her friends years prior. Shit come to think of it, even if it was just Lor'themar lashing out instead of Turalyon.

The fact that this scene is about Turalyon and Arator at all is a resounding testament to Midnight's problem as a narrative. It's not a story about the Blood Elves or the issues of Quel'thalas, Quel'thalas is merely set dressing for airing out Arator's family drama.

Well that's right fuckin' lame :/ Could they not have tried something more interesting like w/ Tauren. Doesn't even have to be output-related, just something cool, like, you mount up faster or smthg.

Removing grief, loss and tragedy from the Forsaken would be like removing ruthless ambition from the blood elves. There'd be nothing left

What if Lilian Voss was written and incorporated into the Forsaken well?
A new World of Warcraft: Forever short story called "Unbowed" focuses on the story of Cormack, a former Scarlet Crusader, as he struggles to accept his undead existence. #Forever #Warcraft wowhead.com/news/watch-the-w…

It's crazy how a single short story accomplished what they couldn't even really accomplish in 4 expansions and THEN some. Really hope this dude pulls up in retail, cuz having the son of a founding Silver Hand founder as a Forsaken is a seriously cool idea.

Lor'themar makes no concessions on what his people did to the Amani, or even on his blatant racism the entire expansion (including this patch), he was already shaking Zul'jarra's hand before he saw Liadrin died! It's such a flimsy form of development that *should* feel earned.

But to turn it suddenly into "IM SO BLINDINGLY STUPID AND DESIRE THE DEATH OF EVERYTHING RAAAAAGHH" when the point of the light for the last 20 years has been compassion, determination and only truly striking down evils when they're too far gone is... its such a ridiculous change

- type element is really dumb because it doesn't fit, its just Badly Written Shadowbringers Like, the Light being Largely a Unilaterally "Good" force of magic that has fringe groups that use it for Evil is a good juxtaposition that invites thought about the Force itself

Im gonna be honest, i think making the Light compel people to madness and blind them is already inherently stupid, while it was mostly been a force for good almost unilaterally for the past 26 years in the history of all these games it suddenly being a "All things in moderation"-

At the end of the day Midnight is basically "Someone played ff14 and saw the Light aspect being bad and shadow aspect being not evil" and decided to try and do that idea Really Badly without understanding why it worked in FF14 like at all

Blizzard devs aiming to coddle both factions regarding each other is one of their biggest flaws. This is why Horde can enter Bel’ameth and Silvermoon is mostly neutral and has ugly blue accents.
Besides the center layout of SMC made too much with flying convenience in mind, the big design issue for me is the light blue accents added to the buildings to unify the palette cause of the neutral banners. We just shouldn't have neutral banners IMO-

1) story failed spectacularly, stepped on every possible rake since 12.1, really need to reevaluate that pipeline 2) way too many 30 min/1 h timed events, abusing the Assault format 3) Labyrinth bugs kept me from playing that week, it's really great now that it's fixed

Gonna be funny as fuck when the epilogue of Midnight will be Lor'themar stepping down as Regent Lord to retire, leaving Quel'Thalas in the hands of a council consisting of the blood elves, high elves, void elves, and, somehow, the Amani.
