The only recurring theme this expansion is that Black/Brown Men deserve to die in the view of Blizzard devs, for the sin of being too radical
I just clocked this... ZUL'JAN sees an ELF jump infront of him to save him......and its never brought up again and has ZERO impact on his story. Liadrin/jarra is a bad dynamic because neither has to sacrifice or change or is challenged by their "friendship" And this was there?

Removing grief, loss and tragedy from the Forsaken would be like removing ruthless ambition from the blood elves. There'd be nothing left

Lor'themar makes no concessions on what his people did to the Amani, or even on his blatant racism the entire expansion (including this patch), he was already shaking Zul'jarra's hand before he saw Liadrin died! It's such a flimsy form of development that *should* feel earned.

But to turn it suddenly into "IM SO BLINDINGLY STUPID AND DESIRE THE DEATH OF EVERYTHING RAAAAAGHH" when the point of the light for the last 20 years has been compassion, determination and only truly striking down evils when they're too far gone is... its such a ridiculous change

- type element is really dumb because it doesn't fit, its just Badly Written Shadowbringers Like, the Light being Largely a Unilaterally "Good" force of magic that has fringe groups that use it for Evil is a good juxtaposition that invites thought about the Force itself

Im gonna be honest, i think making the Light compel people to madness and blind them is already inherently stupid, while it was mostly been a force for good almost unilaterally for the past 26 years in the history of all these games it suddenly being a "All things in moderation"-

At the end of the day Midnight is basically "Someone played ff14 and saw the Light aspect being bad and shadow aspect being not evil" and decided to try and do that idea Really Badly without understanding why it worked in FF14 like at all

Blizzard devs aiming to coddle both factions regarding each other is one of their biggest flaws. This is why Horde can enter Belโ€™ameth and Silvermoon is mostly neutral and has ugly blue accents.
Besides the center layout of SMC made too much with flying convenience in mind, the big design issue for me is the light blue accents added to the buildings to unify the palette cause of the neutral banners. We just shouldn't have neutral banners IMO-

1) story failed spectacularly, stepped on every possible rake since 12.1, really need to reevaluate that pipeline 2) way too many 30 min/1 h timed events, abusing the Assault format 3) Labyrinth bugs kept me from playing that week, it's really great now that it's fixed

Gonna be funny as fuck when the epilogue of Midnight will be Lor'themar stepping down as Regent Lord to retire, leaving Quel'Thalas in the hands of a council consisting of the blood elves, high elves, void elves, and, somehow, the Amani.

The story they want to tell is not a story worth being told, but they will never recognize this simple fact, and so will comitting the same mistakes over and over and over again until enough people leave the game and all that's left are Yes-Men players
A constant problem that WoW needs to admit to and address. Is the fact they keep killing off Horde Characters but letting the Alliance Leaders retire. It's a miserable feeling to KEEP doing this. I'm not saying "kill more Alliance" either. I am saying stop killing Horde.

Enough time has passed. The developers clearly learned nothing from their own consensus they did on Shadowlands. Or, even worse, they forgot.

I think they picked the wrong family to suffer endlessly in Midnight...

If you could remove one controversial playable race (and their lore/story implications) added in WoW which one would you pick? Haranir (lore retcons, Troll/Elves heritage) or Void Elves (out of thin air race, no High Elves)?

This is what being a Blood Elf means. Instead, Blizzard pushed into our throats Arator. (Note how he has Stormwind to his back)
The aura and violence I expected to see from blood elves in Midnight after a Void invasion to their land but getting "elf unification ๐Ÿฅฐ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ’ž" instead

It's not a disconnected setting you can ignore, it's total failure in a storied location. You don't recover from this also Arthas thing was overblown, it was stupid but bringing him back at all was dumber. Be grateful the writers puked in a toilet out of sight instead of on you
