If you are an American and you support Ukraine and understand their victory as our victory, then you cannot ever vote Republican in a federal election again until MAGA is no longer in charge. Sincerely a lifetime Reagan conservative.

Ukrainian cultural twist to native American who makes history as first female US governor Taken from Ukraine on Instagram As Deb Haaland makes history as the first native American woman governor in U.S. history, representing the Pueblo people, one detail in her archive photos stands out: the vibrant floral scarf around her neck. In North America, it's known as a Kokum scarf. It's actually a traditional Ukrainian floral shawl, adopted by Indigenous peoples over a century ago. In the late 1800s, tens of thousands of Ukrainian families arrived in Canada fleeing poverty and oppression. Among their few belongings were traditional bright, wool-fringed floral shawls known as khustky. Settling in the harsh, unforgiving prairie winters, Ukrainian newcomers lived side by side with local First Nations. These families bonded over survival, trading crafts, food, and textiles. Cree women fell in love with the vivid floral patterns and the warmth of the Ukrainian wool shawls. In oral histories, women recall trading hand-beaded moccasins for these intricate scarves. Over generations, the scarf became an essential staple across Cree, Métis, Anishinaabe, and many other Indigenous nations. They called it the Kokum Scarf - from the Cree word kôhkom (grandmother). It transformed into a revered symbol of matriarchs, elders, and the resilient women holding families together. When russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, indigenous communities across Canada and the U.S. put on their Kokum scarves, sharing photos and messages of solidarity. A century later, a piece of cloth traded on the frontier became a global emblem of unwavering support against oppression. “One giant mass grave”: Russian soldiers reveal catastrophic losses near Tetkino Russian units have suffered devastating losses along the border between Russia’s Kursk region and Ukraine’s Sumy region. Survivors compare the situation to a “second Stalingrad.” Their accounts were published by the pro-war Russian Telegram channel Severny Kanal and translated into English by British OSINT researcher ChrisO_wiki. According to the soldiers, several Russian units near Tetkino were virtually wiped out, including the 22nd and 9th regiments and a separate assault detachment. Wounded troops waited weeks for evacuation, dying without medical assistance. The bodies of fallen soldiers have reportedly remained in destroyed dugouts and shell craters since spring 2025. “Every intersection is under Ukrainian control. The Ryzhevsky Forest, the railway — it’s fucking hell, bodies everywhere since spring 2025,” one Russian soldier said.

Instead of providing Ukraine with air defense systems and imposing sanctions on Russia as it continues to murder Ukrainian civilians every single day, the Trump regime lets Putin’s envoy spread Russian propaganda inside the White House. Utterly disgraceful.

When Putin seized Crimea, both Europe and America were quite openly making calls, holding meetings, and sending signals to the Ukrainians who were in power at the time that there should be no escalation – let's just keep things friendly and leave things as they are for now. And we lost Crimea. After that, we lost part of Donbas. But the shooting in the east continued. There was no peace. People think we were always helped. That is not true. Help started coming after the full-scale invasion, but that was after eight years of Russia occupying our territory. That is a long time to figure things out and understand that Putin has no intention of giving anything back to us. At one point, some Europeans asked me: “Why do you think that if you withdraw from Donbas, he will go further?” And I answered: “Because at the beginning of the war, he wasn't seizing Donbas. He came to the capital. He seized parts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Kherson itself, and Kharkiv region.” We have retaken a lot of territory, but he had seized different parts of our country. And now they want us to give them something because they are unable to seize it. We may have a smaller territory, less money, and fewer weapons, but we still have more dignity than many others. We will do everything we can to end this war, but it must end in a way that preserves our dignity. From an interview with ZDF. (2/3)
