Ronald Acuna Jr. did some sightseeing before further enraging Phillies fans with his trot after this game-tying, eighth-inning homer

Penn and Teller had an amazing segment where they went through the whole recycling chain to show that it’s worse than just tossing. 20 years ago. With stats to back it up.

Turns out recycling is worse for the environment than using a landfill. What interests me about this is that we have developed secular religions to supplement for the lack of a coherent moral framework otherwise.
A few years ago, I would have made fun of recyclers as virtue signallers. But now I actually decry the lack of a better moral framework to channel the instinct to do good towards something more glorious (and more correct).

Of course that's your contention. You're a junior in college. You just got finished listening to some ‘77 -- Cornell probably. You're gonna be convinced of that 'til next month when you get to their Primal era, and then you're gonna be talkin' about how the acid tests developed group thought and created their style of playing. That's gonna last until next year -- you're gonna be in here regurgitating Widespread Panic, talkin' about, you know, the difference between Phish 1.0 and 2.0 and the reasons you think JRAD is better than Dead and Company.

We’ve had 25 years of increasing Pentagon budgets and yet we’re strapped for munitions after what POTUS called an “excursion” with a supposedly weaker power? Congress clearly has dropped the ball on oversight.
The munitions shortfall is more complex than industrial failure.
It resulted from several interdependent factors:
— unstable defense budgets
— overly optimistic assumptions about how long wars will last
— shrinking production capacity
— restrictions on allied manufacturing
Appropriating more money and asking contractors to run production lines harder is the first step, but a long-term fix requires the US to change the system that produced the current shortage, Bill Schneider and @Deptula_David write.

"Trump’s tariffs are costing American households an average of $1,100 a year. They have not achieved the president’s stated goal of shrinking the trade deficit..., and while manufacturing output has been rising, the expansion has been concentrated in the industries least affected by Trump’s tariffs."

So, after taking 31 US government equity stakes in private companies over the last year, Trump just announced a MAJORITY-STATE-OWNED oil company?
This isn't even "creeping" socialism anymore.

Step back on Blanche: members of Trump's own party believe he engaged in such a remarkable act of corruption they won't confirm his AG nominee.
Except they will, if he takes the act back. The attempted corruption is not disqualifying to them. It's whether Trump gets away w/ it.
Trump says anyone running for president should take a cognitive exam because you could end being stuck with a moron for years.
“I mean, you get a guy who gets in there, he's got a good line of crap. He gets in and all of a sudden you're stuck with a man who's a moron”
