Sleep experts and most medical docs also agree that standard time is best.
Holy Fuck this puts things into perspective. This won't stand. More accidents on the road. Farmers not having enough light. Kids going to school in the dark. Besides this being fucking stupid, I don't understand something. Why do they want to keep Daylight Savings Time and not Standard Time?

On this day in 1930, President Hoover signed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act into law. More than 1,000 economists had signed a petition begging him to veto it. He signed it anyway. The bill raised tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods, and the market's reaction was immediate: the Dow fell 19.7% in the two weeks surrounding the signing. The logic was straightforward. Protect American industry, save American jobs. The result was the opposite. Trading partners retaliated with their own tariffs. U.S. exports collapsed from $7 billion in 1929 to $2.5 billion by 1932. Foreign investors pulled capital out of American markets. What was supposed to be a shield turned into an accelerant for the Depression. Smoot-Hawley didn't cause the Great Depression on its own. But it took a financial crisis and turned it into a global trade war at the worst possible time.

I grew up a Republican. When that name meant something. This may shock you,.. but I am a believer in the power of free markets. That said, more importantly, I believe in the CONSTITUTION…. I believe in the rule of law. I believe in the separation of powers. I believe in Federalism. I believe in the protection of individual rights. I believe in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I believe all men are created equal. Our founding fathers lived under monarchy & feared tyranny. They deliberately designed slow, divided government so power could not accumulate easily and be corrupted and misappropriated. I believe that liberty 🗽 dies in darkness. That a free press and activist and vocal citizenry is the key to avoid absolute power corrupting absolutely. I believe, like our founders, that our republic would survive only if citizens stayed informed, participated, and held leaders accountable. I do not belong to your tribe Nor the democrat tribe. I have a higher calling. I believe in the real America 🇺🇸, the America 🇺🇸 of our founding fathers.

My father was a gun collector, avid hunter & a NRA member. He taught me how to handle guns with the utmost of safety. Today I own only one, a Sig Sauer 9mm. It was the sabbath yesterday so I didn’t post on X. But on Saturday I watched the video several times (in slow motion) of Alex Pretti being shot. He was killed in cold blood. Period. Unfollow me if you wish but this has gone too far. 🙏🏼

REMINDER: To all members of the Trump administration. The incitement and engagement in state violence against the American people is a serious crime. Donald Trump will leave office long before the five-year statute of limitations expires. You are hereby put on notice.
REMINDER. “To all ICE officers: You have federal immunity in the conduct of your duties. Anybody who lays a hand on you or tries to stop you or tries to obstruct you is committing a felony. You have immunity to perform your duties, and no one—no city official, no state official, no illegal alien, no leftist agitator or domestic insurrectionist—can prevent you from fulfilling your legal obligations and duties. The Department of Justice has made clear that if officials cross that line into obstruction, into criminal conspiracy against the United States or against ICE officers, then they will face justice.” @StephenM

I’m launching Witness 🛡️ Right now, ICE incidents are scattered across videos, threads, and news clips. It’s almost impossible for the public to keep track of what’s actually happening. Witness is a centralized hub to document, verify, and map immigration enforcement incidents in real time. - One place to track ICE activity nationwide - Record safely with automatic face-blurring - Map-based incident timeline - Anonymous uploads - Evidence reviewed by lawyers & journalists - Searchable archive for accountability If the public can’t see the pattern, power wins. Still building. Open to feedback.
I’m launching Witness 🛡️ An app built for moments when power abuses the dark. Upload all your ICE interactions so the public can track in real-time. - Record immigration enforcement safely - Automatic face-blurring by default - Map-based incident tracking - Anonymous uploads - Evidence reviewed by lawyers & journalists - Searchable public archive for accountability This is civic tech for transparency. Still building; open to feedback. Launching soon. Most likely in the next two weeks.

To put it very bluntly, undiplomatically: if China has any balls, they will abduct Taiwan leadership and try them for violation of some CCP laws in Beijing.

TRUMP: HOUSING LAGGING BECAUSE POWELL REFUSES TO LOWER RATES Powell stupidly cut rates by 100 bps last year, and all it did was cause 10Y bonds to rise 100 bps. It made housing even more expensive and broken. You should know this. Considering you’re President of the United States. I can tutor you on the bond market if you ever need.

Spoke to the owner of a company that flips ~ 50 houses/yr His feedback on NAR: “I don’t think it’ll change much. But it’d be great for our business if it resulted in less buyers using agents. The unrepresented buyers will get absolutely smoked. And they’ll have no idea.”

Way to talk in generalities Joe. Not saying there aren't a lot of fucked up things about pharma. That's why we created Costplusdrugs.com. But to ignore that the same industry has saved who knows how many lives is bullshit and you know it. It's also disrespectful to all the doctors, researchers and medical professionals that dedicate their lives to saving lives, like Dr Hotez and the 800k plus doctors in the country that believe vaccines save lives You arent trying to find the ground truth on vaccines. If you were you would bring on someone who focused on debating the issue. Like @thereal_truther . Trying to bully Dr Hotez is ridiculous. You have producers that will prepare you and you get to control the conversation. @RobertKennedyJr also has a staff ready to prepare him, and these topics are what he talks about in every speech. You both do this on a daily basis Dr Hotez works every day to try to find ways to help people. Joe , you and @elonmusk's @twitter are the mainstream online media and your platforms have become everything supposedly wrong with MSM. You are driven by self interest. Just like the MSM always has been accused of. And you both have earned that right. You busted your asses to be great at what you do and earned all you have accomplished. But don't lie to yourselves and all of us and tell us you are different. You aren't.
That would be a great suggestion if you could assure that the industry you were representing wasn’t completely captured by heartless monsters who have a history of some of the biggest criminal fines in human history because their deception has cost hundreds of thousands of people their lives. It would be a great suggestion if the industry you were defending didn’t occasionally look at human beings as an opportunity to generate insane wealth regardless of the tragic consequences. But you can’t do that, so… maybe it would be a good idea to have a fucking debate.

The man who leads the Senate in prayer is fed up with thoughts and prayers. Today, Senate Chaplain Barry Black's gave an honest and bold rebuke of the common empty sentiment in his opening prayer: "Lord, when babies die at a church school, it is time for us to move beyond thoughts and prayers. Remind our lawmakers of the words of ... Edmund Burke: 'All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.'" Chaplain Black’s words were so necessary. We need action. Thank you Chaplain Black for having the courage to speak out. 💙
