None of you guys care about Gaza. You can’t even bother to care about those closest to you. You’re evil faggots who want to torment others with plausible deniability, and you’re also broke.

He's just a smol bean head of a tech company that builds surveillance systems used by Israelis to kill children in Gaza and by the US government to track its own citizens while going around the world preaching about the antichrist 🥺 come on you guys he's not that bad

Marc Andreessen on why cities ended up with $3 million homes, public housing, and no middle class
"There's a French geographer who has the best analysis on this, a great book called Twilight of the Elites. If you replant the commanding heights of your economy on knowledge work, you're going to slam basically all economic growth into the cities"
"The cities become a magnet for two kinds of people. The highly educated elite who can afford $3 million houses, and then public housing. Who's squeezed out is the entire middle class. If you're a cop or a firefighter and you work in Palo Alto, you can be commuting 3 hours both ways just to have a house and afford a family"
"You look at the cities and there's lots of dogs, very few kids. You can't buy a house, you can't have a family. You've ejected the middle out of the cities into the countryside, but you've deindustrialized, so there's no new economic activity happening in the countryside"
Marc Andreessen reveals why housing, health care, and education keep getting more expensive while everything else gets cheaper
"There's basically three components to the American dream. A house near great job opportunities, great health care for you and your family, and sending your kids to good schools"
"If you disaggregate the economy over the last 25 years, everything that technology touches basically collapses in price. Television sets, computer games, anything with electronics in it. But if you chart housing, education, and health care, the prices of those things are skyrocketing"
"The government restricts supply, zoning laws and university certifications. And then the government responds to the political pressure caused by the rising prices by subsidizing demand. And of course, if you subsidize demand and a fixed supply, you get skyrocketing prices"

Wait… iconic white hero used as an allegory for toxic masculinity and privilege disgraced then killed anticlimactically? All it needs is a… hyper-competent black replacement and… woman who does evil thing but with weirdly sympathetic narrative undertones? Oh my expectations… they’re… subverting 🥴🥵

AI Cloning should be illegal. And I think it might be. It feels self-evident, but we may need to wait for the courts to be sure.
This morning, I took a full Windows application from Microsoft, had AI reverse-engineer it using NSA's Ghidra into a set of atomicizable actions, then translated those actions backward into Rust logic, then compiled the Rust into a brand new application.
And it did it. In one shot. So the process is:
C Code -> Compiler -> Linker -> Exe
then
Exe -> OPS -> Rust -> Compiler -> Linker -> Exe
So you feed it an application, and it produces a Rust version of that same application with 100% of the same functionality and appearance and "none" of the original code - just the logic behind that code.
I don't consider this coding.
It's not even vibe coding.
It is piracy.
This might be a hot take, but cloning an application when the application itself is used as an input does NOT, in my mind, yield an independent work.
I'm even dubious about letting the AI base its work on the application. I specifically did NOT do so for TMOG (tmog.org) because I didn't want it just copying. So I wrote a huge spec instead (which I guess could just be copying via indirection, but I'll leave that aside for now).
This time, I chose an in-the-box Windows application as a proof of concept, but there's no reason this couldn't be applied to Photoshop.
Or heck, have the AI port Final Cut from the Mac to Windows. That's a bigger ask, of course, but we're not far from it.
And so I propose we ruthlessly distinguish any process that uses an application binary itself.
Prompt -> Code -> Binary == OK
Binary -> Prompt -> Code => Binary == Clone

We're used to thinking of open-source models as an unadulterated good. But in the case of AI, they can actually pose additional dangers, as @ReidHoffman and I got into at #CGI2026. I appreciated this nuanced discussion.
